Work
Works great for connecting back plunger indicators with a 1/4" arm to a 3 /8" noga mag base holder but it is really over priced for what it is. We cut 30 out of nylon or Teflon sheets on the water jet while waiting for these to arrive at a fraction of the cost that all work just the same.

Can also be used with Noga indicator stand
If you have a Noga indicator stand, and want to attach it to the lug at the back of a dial indicator, use this bushing along with the Starrett 657Y.This bushing adapts the 1/4" outside diameter of the 657Y post to the 3/8" inside diameter hole of the Noga holder.

This is indeed the correct bushing to adapt the starrett ...
This is indeed the correct bushing to adapt the starrett screw holder to the noga holder. However i purchased two of these and the quality of this part is less than ideal. One of the parts had excessive burs and where it was slit, someone did not slit it completely. I filed and worked with the piece to get it correct. However for a made in the USA part apparently this is unacceptable. The machinist making these should be ashamed to produce such a part.

The ID had a step in it.
This bushing is supposed to have a 1/4" ID, however the bore/ID halfway through was over sized (.2575), then a step down which was undersized (.2460). You use this with 657Y which has a 1/4" stem and this bushing is supposed to slide on the 1/4" OD stem and allow you to hold a dial indicator in the 3/8 ID of a NOGA holder.HAD TO SEND IT BACK!!
