American Kennel Club Crate Mat, 24 by 17-Inch, Brown

This bed is absolutely disgusting. Upon arriving, it appears normal like a simple dog crate bed... My dog has used it for only 2 weeks. I went to wash it today and noticed a tear in the material. It almost looked like short curly human hair was used as the stuffing. Then as I looked further, there was more fibers (I believe it’s hair) coming out from the other parts of the bed. This time it looked like long, straight black hair. YES, HUMAN HAIR. I’m disgusted and even gagged when pulling the hairs out of the bed. I threw it away immediately.I’ve never seen anything like this. I hope you read this review and save yourself from purchasing this horribly disgusting product. I don’t know how this is legal.

This product is a waste of money and not safe for puppies. The middle part is so thin it doesn't provide any support. The outer part is ripped so easily it only last 1 day. My poor pup ripped through the cheap stitching and ate some of the stuffing :(

Though I really liked the look of this padding for my dogs kennel, and it fit inside of it perfectly well, We only kept it about one-ish month because my dog - a Beagle/Dachshund mix - kept digging at it. At first I thought it was normal because Doxie's are known to dig. However, I noticed that he never dug at the other bed that I'd bought him when I first adopted him at Dollar General for $5, so I wondered what was special about this particular cushion. After weeks of trying to make him stop - he would also pull it out of his kennel and dig, then lay in it - I noticed grey-ish black stuffing was starting to come out of the pad. After attempting to patch it up, and telling him again, to stop digging/biting at the cushion, once again the stuffing started to come out of it. That's when it occurred to me that there was something about the smell of the stuffing that he was attracted to, and it didn't matter what I did, he would find a way to "dig" it out.So finally, I threw it away after only having it about one month and went back to Dollar General and purchased a kennel pad in the same brand as his other bed. Now, he doesn't dig as much, and we've had this kennel pad for going on three months, and it only cost $10, compared to the $20 I spent on this one.I just wanted to give everyone a heads up on this particular pad because if your dog is a scent hound, s/he may be attracted to whatever material AKC use to stuff this pad with, and may very well end up digging holes into it.

I realize this is listed as a crate mat and not a pet bed but I was disappointed as to how thin it was. It IS durable though! I have washed it three or four times now as I bought it for a standard poodle puppy and he is still having occasional accidents and it has held it's shape well and stayed as plush as it was on the edges as when I got it. Nice mat for a simple crate liner but not much thicker than a plush bath towel.

Very nice crate mat for my 10lb dog. Please don't think it's a bed. It's thinner and meant to go into a crate. I actually use it as a texture tool for my dog because she is blind. When I bring her into the kitchen and set her down it in. She knows exactly where she is in the kitchen and how far she can go before she reaches the steps... sadly falling down them twice has made her learn quickly. I'm also going to have to crate her at night time because it just isn't safe anymore in our bedroom. I'll be buying another one for her crate soon because it fits perfectly! The raised sides double as a little pillow!

Unfortunately the stitching was only subpar for the mat I received and after its second wash a good amount of the stuffing was lost. I've missed the "return by date" by only one day! That being said and in all fairness of the item itself had it NOT come apart, this makes a decent crate MAT--that's right, it is NOT a bed, nor does it state so--but looking back I think I paid too much for the 36"x23" mat, especially given its quality.A word of advice for those shopping around: read the product's entire description and have a good understanding of its measurements. We have a puppy that has gotten significantly larger than expected so we’ve recently increased the size of her crates and needed beds to go in them. These beds are terrible quality! They are flimsy and thin, and the material on one was torn by my dog the first time she tried to “fluff” it up to lay on it... you know, like all dogs tend to do.We returned the one that hadn’t been used yet and only kept the other since my dog had already slept and played on it.I like the color but expect it to fade after a few washes so that’s something to consider as well. I would say these are even worse than those cheap tan colored dog beds you buy at Walmart. I will say that they also feel very soft and warm.I don’t recommend these to anyone, and am highly disappointed that the AKC has their name attached to these dog beds. The AKC has always been a company who typically has very good quality products, but not in this case at all.

Buen producto ha sobrevivido hasta hoy 2 meses después de la compra.Los bueno es que tiene buena calidad no se ha roto a pesar de que a mi perro le encanta jugar con el. Si lo usa.Lo malo es que no trae alcolchonado en la parte donde se acuesta y no pesa nada entonces lo anda moviendo por todos lados. Para lavarlo es un pequeño problema.

This is a good crate pad or thin bed. It is not a thick cushy bed, if that’s what you’re looking for, but my dog likes it. We are using it as our dogs ‘place’ - it goes in our kitchen area and she is trained to go to her place when we eat meals, or when she needs to calm down and focus. It’s not for sleeping, but it’s a good size and looks pretty good and it gives her a spot to rest and hang out for a while. Works well for our purposes and our cats also seem to like sleeping in it too. :-) Good quality for the price.

The product was received and appears to be made out of the remaining cutoffs fashioned together into a bed. as a result, the bed is hardly square, or circular, but somewhere between a triangle, square, and circle; as the, too small, sewn in perimeter tries to fold the bed upon itself.Stitching was poor, with many seams not closed resulting in fluffing coming out.Originally purchased this due to the price and decent reviews, however completely regret this given the poor quality of the product.Would rate this a do not buy!

Creo que precio/calidad no cumple al 100% se me hicieron muy costosas para lo que son.A mis perritos no les gusta mucho las camas tan acolchadas y estas les gustaron, a mi parecer son muy delgadas, es mas un tapete para perro que camita, lo cual para mis perros está bien, pero creo que está sobrevaluado el precio. Al menos deberian costar 100 pesos menos.

Tengo 2 perros que no son de raza pero son aproximadamente de un tamaño de chihuahua algo grande; los 2 caben bien en la cama y la aman, se la pasan rato acostados durante el dia, y en la noche duermen calientitos juntos. Aunque debo decir que mi perro es un amante de las camas tambien.La unica desventaja es su poco acolchonamiento, de las orillas esta bien acolchada pero por la parte media no, y aunque para mis perros no presenta mucho problema ya que la aman y son pequeños, puede que a un perro grande no le guste, recomendaria ponerle un cojín.Hasta el momento lleva 2 semanas y esta en perfecto estado, no se desliza y tiene buena calidad; compra recomendada para perros pequeños.
