Could be a lot better
I have to say I have wanted one of these scrapboxes for several years. I saved for it and was very excited to purchase it. It took my husband 2 nights 6 hrs each night to put together. If I was still single, there is no way I would have been able to put it together. The first problems is that the boxes are material and flimsy. The second problem is that they do not hold as much as you would hope. The third and biggest problem is that the shelves are just crap and that is the biggest problem. The plastic pieces you have to put in to hold up the shelve break and do not fit the shelf. The shelf it self does not fit snuggly in the spot and pulls out every time you open a drawer. So that being said, a lot of what I wanted to put in to this box can not go into in. Paper can not go it the 12x12 unless it is only a little bit. You can't really return the piece after you have put it together so you are stuck with it. The desk is not big enough to work on, so you have to have another work space in the room also. My suggestion is go to Ikea and buy 2 book shelves and lot of cool scrap booking organizers and spend 500.00 I think in the end you will be happier.

Love my SCRAPBOX
I just love my new SCRAPBOX! It is has a place for everything and I still have many bins and pouches just waiting for more cool findings on my next trip to the scrapbooking store! It took us a very long time to put it together (my husband and I) but once we got started and watched the DVD, it went much faster! It took me just as long to fill all the bins and put in the shelves as it did to assemble the box! I couldn't be happier with my purchase! It is the perfect addition to my scrap space. I lost my half of an office space that I shared with my husband as we had to put our boys into that space as an additional bedroom. I love everything about my box but particularly that everything has a place and stays put! Thanks for making such an awesome product with scrapbookers in mind! I am getting even more scrapbooking down than ever because I can work a few hours a night and get pages done! It is well, well worth the money!

Cheap materials, way overpriced niche market item. Needs a quality competitor to come along.
Cheap materials used. Screws fall out, wood cracks easy, fit and finish is not great. They look nice in pictures. Good luck trying to find a spot where this looks good in your home when it is closed up. It feels like a giant box that sticks out way to far. If IKEA made this they would sell it for under $500 and the materials would be of better quality, that is how cheap this product is.

Buyers Beware!
First of all... This is a huge project for the do it yourself person, especially if you don't have some kind of mechanical ability. The shipment came in on time, but the outside cartons were a mess, busted, torn etc. When we opened them up, there was a cracked shelf, (particle board) and a bent metal joining rod for the back panels. The building of this took me 5.5 hours, and no break. The materials are cheap, with exception to the front paneled doors. After an hour of trying to get the front (2) doors to match evenly in height, I gave up, and will have to live with one of them being 1/4" short of the other. DIRECTIONS!!!! where are they, and you cant tell me that they are the "pictures" that you receive in the carton for a complex building project like this??? There wasn't any written directions to be found. The real fun part... when you are all done putting this CrapBox together, now you open the box with all the compartments for inside of your CrapBox, and there are NO directions of or even illustrations to guide you.. Not good at all. The quality of the shelfs... poor, flimsy and they don't fit properly, and the push in clips... Some are loose, some are too tight and some just break while trying to get these in. My suggestion, either hunt for a good quality one in a craft shop or furniture store, seeing is believing, rather than to order on line for such an expensive piece. Save time, save money... With the un-believable amount of time it takes to put one of these together, and the poor quality, its best to realize that your time is worth money, so when considering buying this CrapBox, save yourself time, aggravation, stress and more than likely money and DO'NT buy it.
