Shenmue III - Collector Edition (PS4)

Was surprised to see this for such a great price. Had everything the Limited Edition.com version had except the dreamcast game case (would still love that) but seeing as those go for I think like 250$ now this is still a great purchase. If you love shenmue this is definitely for you.

What can I say? It’s Shenmue. If you liked the first two, you’re going to like this one. It’s a game crafted for the fans. This chapter’s impact on the overall story is not as satisfying, but the core gameplay is intact, and well polished.

After so long we finally have this game!!! I need to buy another copy because I’m not opening this one.

Cool collectors edition but the game is kind of painful to play through with the robot like dialogue. If u want to understand the story the option to skip dialog is stupid!!i wouldn't look forward to 4 that's for sure

As per the title, I am here today to reveiw the collectors edition.So far, after around five hours play I can't fault the game.It looks gorgeous on the eye and sounds and feels just like the last game in the series but with modern features, visuals and controls.Yu Suzuki san and his team really have done a super job on this, most fans of the original should be really happy with the outcome. I would grade the game itself a 4, possibly even a 5.However, I am here to reveiw the collectors edition.Basically we have been fleeced out of an extra £30 for a box of poundland type accessories. The lamp is cheaply produced and the "mirror" is double sided with both the dragon and Phoenix symbols on each side.It is also somewhat scaled down from the mirror that Ryo goes about using in the first games.You also get some jacket patches and a sticker sheet that aren't too bad. The nicest thing about the collectors edition is the box that it comes in.I have just received an email from Amazon that says I am going to be refunded £3.20 on the purchase price, so I suppose that softens the blow slightly.All in all... happy with the game but a little bit miffed with the collectors edition items.This is actually the first collector type edition game I have ever bought in 40 years alive. I think i will think twice about pre ordering one again.

I am solely reviewing the collectors edition of shenmue 3, not the game. Its poor, I have had a few collectors editions over the years most are awesome with something cool to display. This collectors edition is a cheap example. I am aware that the game was funded by kickstarter and is mainly for fans not casual gamers. I am a huge Shenmue fan, the first game is my favourite of all time. The box contents are cheap and nasty. The lamp is fragile and the Phoenix & Dragon mirror (which I was hoping to display) are one reversible mirror about twice the size of a 2 pound coin and fit in your palm. Nothing of note to display sadly. Hopefully the game will be awesome though. 2 stars :(

Looks great, love the additional content, especially the dragon mirror! Am glad I opted for this version. Be aware, it comes in a large box, a little smaller than the PS4 itself!

It exceeds all my expectation this game is amazing a must have game for everyone

If you're a fan of the original Dreamcast classics you will love this game, not AAA title like the first two were, but a AA game but still pulls off that Shenmue charm.
