So much nicer than I was expecting!
I basically this to use as a fancy gift box. I have a gift I'm planning to give and wanted to present it in a nice, lined box. I was pretty surprised when it arrived and the quality was way beyond what I was expecting. I thought this was going to be kind of a chintzy, mass produced box made of low quality wood and a lock that just barely worked. But I was completely wrong! This box is beautiful, nicely carved with a really shiny varnished coating. The lock on mine is set perfectly and works great!

Pleased with quality
I got this as a gift for my wife. The workmanship on the box is great.The corners of the lid and the base aligned well and the hinges look like they will last through use. The lock was a little off and may present problems but since we didn't buy this for the security but the looks and the use we are more than pleased. It fits some of her more common worn jewelry nicely and looks good sitting on her make-up vanity. This doesn't look cheap like you may expect to find in a tourist trap, however do not expect an antique type quality. It came to us wrapped securely in the mail. I would definitely buy this again as a gift or even another box for my wife.

Broken leg
I read in some of the reviews that this item came delivered with a broken leg but ordered it anyway thinking it was a fluke. However, mine was delivered with one leg broke off. It was easier to glue the return and wait for another to ship. It is beautifully crafted for the price but just frustrating it’s not durable.

Disappointed
Box itself is nice, but upon removing from the shipping box, one of the legs had fallen off during shipping and the lock is very difficult to use. Im afraid I'll break the key off if I use it too much.

Beautiful and great quality
Got this for my boyfriend and he loved it! It was wrapped up in multiple layers of paper. I had no issues with this box. I was highly impressed with the intricate design and quality of this wooden box. It is beautiful and we both loved it!

I was very happy with this item
When the box arrived it was exactly as pictured. I bought for my husband for our one year anniversary to keep his watches and ring in. I was very happy with this item.

Lock Does Not Work
The box itself seemed well made and looked very nice, but the locking mechanism did not work. I could not turn the key. My husband could, but he had to use so much force, I was expecting the key to snap! I returned it.
