Brownie Distortion Pedal

The CMAT Brownie is a awesome sounding pedal.It is more of a lower gain overdrive Brown sound kind of sound I wish that it had a bit more gain.I use it as a boost to a already happening distortion channel for the perfect High gain Brown Sound.

It didn't work.I need one that works, please!I'm so disappointed, because it was a gift.When you plug in the guitar, there's no sound.

Not powerful enough at least for me. Over-rated

Looking for classic guitar tones? Or that classic EVH tone? The pedal says "Brownie" which has nothing to do with the desert and everything to do with the tone you can achieve using it. A friend of mine who has 15 different boutique distortion and overdrive pedals along with 6 or 7 different boutique amps told me that if had to give all but 1 of his pedals up this would be the one that he would keep. So I bought one for myself and am very happy I did. You can get a lot of tones with this pedal and a lot that go beyond classic rock, just crank the gain up! Also has tone and level knobs which give great control and many possibilities!

I admit I'm still in the honeymoon phase with my Brownie, but it has already impressed me more than my previous favorite Marshall Plexi-flavored pedal, the Carl Martin Plexitone. I play through a clean Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue, and the Brownie seems to have more body and girth than the Plexitone,and a more usable EQ and gain range. I could not stop playing it when I first plugged it in!!! Very touch-sensitive, and has that wonderful "chirp" to your pick attack and complex overtones like a cranked Marshall would. Seriously killer pedal.

Crap..

I play through a "Marshall" 50 w half stack when I need more wattage; I have my compliment of analog effect foot pedals to edify my sound and when I'm going to cover "EddieV" material, this soups up my rig to allow me so. Excellent "brown sound" pedal.

Sounds KILLER!!!
