The lids are poorly fitted.The wooden slats for the shelf were not stained.Two rods on one of the fire grates were loose resulting from poor wellding.The unit is inexpensive, but I expected better Quality.

I was fooled. I did a fair amount of research before I purchased my 2nd smoker. My first was a New Brunthel and I loved it. The online comments were this was a great smoker and stick with it. Unfortunately I moved and decided not to move my smoker. I thought I could just replace it at will -- WRONG!!!! Almost all of the smokers in this class are Chinese knock-offs. I thought -- because I searched on New Brunthel and this smoker came up -- that I was getting some left over inventory made in the USA. Not the case -- this is a Chinese knock-off with all of the flaws reported online -- do not buy this smoker. I would return it of I could -- but did not discover all the flaws until it was fully assembled and the shipping box destroyed in the process. Instead, I had to perform all of the adjustments/repairs commonly reported. The firebox had huge holes from poor engineering and manufacturing. The doors on the smoker were also poorly engineered and manufactured. When I test fired/seasoned, smoke was escaping in so many places and air entering in so many places that you would not be able to effectively be able to control the heat or keep the smoke in the chamber. I had to perform multiple fixes/adjustments -- including high temp silicon to plug holes in the fire box as well as oven gaskets to keep the smoke in the smoking chamber. Even the chimney stack had close to a 1/4" to 1/2" gap resulting in smoke escaping -- big time -- again -- do NOT buy this smoker. Amazon should remove this product from their site.
