I do love the beads, but you do need to be a little creative. The rings are a little large and kind of float around the bead for Saturn, which may make it wrap around the bead string and create a breaking point. All in all, it's a clever little kit, and when you add your own beads, you can create some really pretty pieces.

This set worked well for my troop. Girls ages 5-12 were able to make the bracelets.

Excited to use these to help my Girl Scouts earn their Space Science badge. I love that the kit has beads in colors and sizes approximate to the solar system. My only disappointment is that I expected the bead counts to match those listed in the photos of the item. I was missing one of the 100 black beads and one of the 50 flower type gold beads. This would not be a big deal if they were for personal use and we were creating our own designs, but to package the same supplies for each girl doesn't work when beads are missing. I will have to order an extra set to make up for the missing beads.

I bought 2 of these kits for my Brownie troop in order to teach about the planets for the space science adventure badge. (Not my idea, I found it from a blog post where they linked back to this kit on Amazon). But it was a fabulous idea, I'm glad I found that blog. The bracelets were really pretty and the girls had a good time making them. These kits make 10 bracelets exactly. I have 17 girls in my troop so it was nice to have a few extra beads in the 2nd kit in case the girls dropped a bead and lost it. I separated out all the beads in advance in baggies, and created an example bracelet, so that helped the craft go much faster and easier. Also, important FYI!! I found that these bracelets were impossible to tie together, so we hot glued the knot at the end so the bracelets didn't fall apart. That worked well, they seem sturdy now, and the hot glue didn't just melt the string. So that's my only tip for this kit. I had a hot glue gun and glue already, so it was no stress to me, but is something to be aware of if you buy this kit and do not have a hot glue gun. Highly recommend despite that though!

This is a great value. I bought a second one too and made 10 bracelets out of each. I especially liked the bead choices and colors. The smaller planets were small and the gas giants were larger. The colors were even close to what telescopes have seen. Saturn had a gold bead frame to string for it's ring. For the price it all was excellent. There were enough black lava beads for about 9-10 per bracelets, it even had a little moon for earth! It comes complete with spacers and stretch string. The best looking kit I could find and only cost me 1.70 for each bracelet so I could sell affordably. Don't miss this. Easy for kids to make too like for a birthday girl and her friends!

it don't match up to the planets at all, My mother in-law was making me a galaxy bracelet and she had to use some of her own beads to make it look more legit. what comes with this kit is basic beads that looks nothing like the planets.

I LOVE this set!! We did an outer space homeschool unit and we used this for our wind up project. What I love about it is that they included things that can be used for the dwarf planets too. :) this is such a fun easy quick project for review that my 5 and 8 year old boys.

It comes in a compact kit that has a great look to it. Wonderful for gifting as it presents really well visually. Lots of supplies for ongoing crafting.

Bought this set for a group craft, everyone loved it!! I was glad there were some extras as there were 2 or 3 beads with damage BUT still a great set.
