Impressionists Tarot Deck

I like this deck a lot. Mine didn't smell, so I don't know if it's a problem they fixed. The cards feel nice, and the images are a touch dark, but it's okay to me. The only minor complaint I have is that I wish it had the painting's titles in the book or something. I know that it says who drew each suit but for someone without a really really great knowledge of art, it's hard to figure out what the paintings are called.

Not quite what I expected. The art work, of course, is beautiful and I understand the addition of suit representations(cups, wands, etc) on the cards but the one that confused me was the bows. Couldn't something better have been found to represent that suit? The card stock is good this has become a pet peeve of mine since I recently received a deck that had very flimsy card stock. My biggest complaint about this deck is that it is stinky. No, really it smells awful. Gave me a headache from the smell. I hope that airing them out will help.

Every card looks like an impressionist masterpiece. The cards are not cluttered with occult symbolism as are other decks. They are visually stunning. As the cover indicates, they have a small golden "frame" border. I did not find that to be intrusive. However the images are dark in color tone, and that might bother some readers. Card stock is typical of Lo Scarabeo decks; made in Italy.As a collector, "The Impressionists" Tarot deck is a beautiful addition to my collection.

I wanted to love this deck. I really did: I love Impressionism. I don't care for the darkness in all the cards. And as another reviewer said, these cards smell. I hope it goes away. I didn't purchase these as a tarot deck, I have others for that purpose. I bought them for the art and am disappointed there is not more original art.

I love this deck. Beautiful. I wouldn't recommend for someone new to tarot as the major arcana are not labeled but this isn't an issue for me as I've been reading tarot for several years.

Deck's nice, some cards especially attractive others just okay

This deck brings back memories of a distant high school project I did about the Impressionist Painters, and so I as very pleased to hear from one of my Tarot buddies that it was a good deck to use. Unfortunately it only contained the LWB, but in the meantime I have been able to source the book separately at our annual Tarot Conference. So it is with a degree of fondness that I flip through the art work so cleverly adapted to the tarot cards, and it will be a great addition to my collection and adds another interesting aspect to readings.

I liked the idea of drawing something in an impressionist way. I think it is amazing work. But they have that very dark vibe, especially the sword cards. They are long and the frame makes them look Victorian . That is my feeling about them. Otherwise, original and craftsy.

This is one of a kind. I have never seen anything like it, and appreciate this style of painting so much. It did look a little better online, but that is not unusual. It arrived within days of ordering, and the price is quite reasonable.
