FTCE Middle Grades Social Science 5-9 Flashcard Study System: FTCE Test Practice Questions & Exam Review for the Florida Teacher Certification Examinations (Cards)

Just like all of what is in the previous review! I also agree the cards are priceless! After reading the above review, I purchased these for my son who had a short time to prepare for the exam. The cards were a huge contributing factor for him passing the certification test the first time!

I give the program a rating of 5 for the depth of questions and answers as well as the benefit of the flashcard design.

I purchased the study skills for the social science middle grades 5-9 flashcardsI am already overwhelmed by the test and fearful of the unknown, but the flashcards took a lot of the burden off my shoudlers. There is a lot on the small cards, which makes it overwhelming at times. I have studied, and will be taking my test this upcoming week. The only problem I had was my test is in Florida, and the study guide for the Florida test suggest one should know immigration and settlement patterns for Florida and significant events, individuals, and social cultural, political and economic characteristics in different types periods in Florida history

I used this along with a few other study materials and just took the test last week. Out of the 120 questions on the test, MAYBE 10 of them questions came from these flash cards. I studied diligently for a week with purely these flash cards and was very disappointed when almost none of the material studied came up. There were at least 10 questions on the test about Florida and these flash cards didn't provide a single fact or card about Florida's history. The same thing happened with social studies methods. I understand the subject is broad and difficult to cover, but I was very disappointed with the lack of information from these cards. Luckily, I used school textbooks to study as well or else I am afraid I would have failed the test.

I really like the way the information was broken down. The print could have brb larger.

I've studied many different subjects in a lot of different ways. I've even studied for what I've felt like are big tests before. This time, for this particular big test, I really wanted to do well. So I thought about the study methods I've used in the past to see if I could come up with the best one. In the past, I've used simply memorization techniques, quizzing techniques and even flash cards. For this test, I felt like flash cards might do the best work for me, but I wasn't sure where to start in finding what I needed. I feared I'd have to make them myself and that would have taken too much time. Luckily, the exact right cards were out there for me to find and use. When it came to this particular test, there was a lot of information that I needed to know, but the best part was that the flash cards had all of it in one location. I didn't have to search to find details because it was all on the cards. I found myself reading the cards and remembering some of the things I'd learned and re-learning things I'd missed. Either way, at the end of my study session, I knew what I needed to know and that's what was most important. For this test, flash cards worked the best and I recommend them to anyone who might be taking the same test.
