One Line at a Time: 24 Geometric Machine-Quilting Designs Made Easy

Good ideas for the Home Quilter
This book has a lot of ideas for the home quilter who doesn't have a longarm machine but wants to do something a little special. I adapted one design for use on a baby qult, and the results were very impressive. Potential readers should know, however, that many of the patterns require free-motion quilting or a LOT of turning the fabric, and the scale is more for art quilts than utility quilts. When scaled up a bit, many of these patterns look better and easier to do. Still, I found the ideas in the book got me thinking about new fairly simple patterns to quilt, and that was why I bought it, to get the creative juices going.

Beginer to Experienced Quilters
A great book with a different approach to machine quilting by an award winning quiltmaker. Loved the lavishly illustrated pages with plenty of info and how to's for someone who wants a new way to finish their quilt tops. I think the techniques would work best with quilts baby sized or smaller but you could use them on any sized project.

Encore is better
The "One Line at a Time Encore" has many more patterns I use then this one. This book is more dependent on using curves and other designs that are free motion.

Idea & Technique Book for Continuous Line Quilt Designs
Great technique book for quilters to put their quilt designs on their quilts without marking on them. She shows designs simple to complex using self-made templates using computer label sheets with one sticky side. Interesting/unusual/attractive designs all broken down for users step-by-step! Highly recommend both of her books.

Interesting
The reader definitely must have experience to get the most from this book. I bought it to learn, but I think I'd still need someone to guide me.

Very User Friendly
Excellent photos and description of quilting patterns. Makes the machine-quilting process seem very easy because it breaks it down into small managable pieces.

Great Book
Had been told this book was good for machine line quilting ideas. It is amazing how they break it down and what can be done with lines. A wonderful book for anyone wanting to do their own quilting on their machine.

easier quilting
good clear instructions and well illustrated. Lessons well structured and fun I got good results straight away. Very good for beginners while still offering plenty for the more experienced quilter as the basics were well-expanded upon with ideas and examples o future possibilities. This book has quickly become a favourite of mine (and I have lots of quilting books)
