It's a sturdy, well made, pocket size journal. However, my fault entirely for not checking the dimensions when buying on line, I did expect it to be a little bit bigger. Would recommend for quickly made water colour sketching and note taking.

I'm a fan. They're a great size, half an a4 so perfect for quick sketches and studies.I've read some reviews say the smooth side doesnt erase well, but I've encountered no problems. However I am only creating very light lines for watercolour compositions and only rarely touch it with a kneadable eraser. Not sure how they would fair under other conditions or mediums, but they do well with basic range of watercolours and mechanical pencils.They hold water well.The spine I would say needs a delicate touch but one has survived rough handling.Good for the price too imo.

Perfect for water colours. Keep in mind that alcohol markers will show through the other side. Not much but there are traces.

I love these sketchbooks - not only because they came exactly as described, but because they are honestly a very good product! Firstly, I bought these because I wanted a watercolour sketchbook with lots of pages, as most A3 sized books tend to have around 10-15 pages in it and aren't exactly cheap - these books have 88 pages of good quality paper. The pages are obviously a lot smaller than A3 however I did want something small that I can just put in my bag so I definitely like the size. I've painted on them already, and the paper is definitely thick enough for watercolours. I like the hardcover too, a very nice and simplistic design that is pleasing to the eye, and sturdy enough so I don't have to lean against a flat surface when I'm using it. The elastic strap that holds the book closed is tight and does it's job well, and the red ribbon that acts as a bookmark is a very nice touch too. All round excellent product!

I bought this set as a little gift for myself and to get in to water colour (I dont like thin, ring bound or loose paper so found i never used what i have. So these were perfect)They are the perfect travel size, nice, thick and good quality paper.The packaging was minimal when it arrived but that was no problem. But one of the books had external damage as well as torn pages. I contacted the company and they were quick to respond and arranged an immediate replacement. Amazing service, good quality product :)( i added some cute glasses to mine :D )

Loved them great for little paintings

This pair of square watercolour sketchbooks were ok but did not "blow me away". Although I wasn't using huge amounts of water I found that the paper did not stay flat. And it didn't "help me" as I was hoping! I have had greater success with other paper. However, the books were bound well and look a solid, quality art product. Simply put, I will try other watercolour sketchbooks next, although I hope to come to a satisfactory working method to use with my Arteza books in the future.

Great value for the price. I’ve not used it yet but it seems to have reasonable quality watercolour paper and is a handy pocket size for quick sketches.

Compré un block Arches y la verdad se nota muy poco la diferencia, los blocks Arteza son de muy buena calidad, papel grueso, funciona perfecto con los pigmentos, queda muy bien aun con muchas muchas capas, muy recomendable

The paper is nice and thick with a good texture for all painting mediums. Paper does not warp much when paint is on. Can't say how it holds up to professionals' standards but these are great for beginners like me!
