A Beginner's Guide to the Traditional Latin Mass

Fantastic resource
Hands down one of the best resources you can find to prepare you for TLM. The descriptions are easily followed, and there is direction for High Mass, and Low Mass. I love “The Next Step” portion. It’s brief, but gives you solid advice to start you on your journey deeper into the prayers of the Latin Mass.

Great book!
This book is a wonderful resource. My teenager prefers the Latin Mass, and this was a simple way for her to get even more out of it. It breaks down the Mass, including when to kneel and stand, and gives an even greater understanding. Ignore the bad review from the person that hasn’t read the book and dislikes the Latin Mass.

Mass wasn’t always boring!
A wonderfully detailed and straight forward guide to the true mass. Before the Vatican II Council changed the liturgy to the absent and watered down “mass” most are used to today, the Traditional Latin Mass has been the way mass has been celebrated for hundreds of years! After reading this book, I recommend reading “The Case for Liturgical Restoration,” preface by Cardinal Burke. There is a reason the Our Lady of Fatima messages evolve so much around 1960 and the changes being implemented at the time.

Extremely helpful for those interested in attending TLM
There seems to be a growing minority of young Catholics or converted Catholics who tire of the irreverence and tameness of the Novus Ordo mass. While the Traditional Latin Mass is a great alternative, some people may find themselves lost and confused especially if they haven't been properly catechized. Derya Little's guide to the TLM provides a great jumping on point for those who fall into that category. She breaks it down into an easily digestible guide and provides good recommendations like not trying to follow along the first few times you attend.Derya also provides recommendations on what to do after you start to get the hang on the TLM such as what to do with the missal and ribbon. Can't recommend this guide highly enough.

Excellent
This is exactly what my family needed. If you are thinking about going to a Latin Mass for the first time, or like our family had gone a few times, this is the book to get. Looking at all the info online can be a little overwhelming and even confusing, this step by step book is the perfect entry point. I would love to see this made available at all Latin Mass parishes. Just the right amount of information to get you started, the illustrations are great and compliment text perfectly. Thank you for creating this.

If you have attended Latin Masses, this book is for you.
This is not at all what I expected. The book is actually telling you what's going on in the Latin Mass but it does not explain anything. To me, this book is for parishioners who have already attended a few Latin Masses. Just to clarify what is going on. For someone like me who has never attended a Trinidine Mass, I still do not understand what is really going on in this book.

Very helpful resource!
Well-written as a how-to/guide book! Easy to follow, very helpful. Beautiful and helpful illustrations. Book is fairly short, too, so it's not overwhelming by any means.
