A very good solution for many mounting problems.
I ordered this for my Ford Flex. It fit perfectly and is exactly the right height. There was a big plastic cap over the end of the seat track...removing that was the hardest part. It will not go back on while the Floor Mount is in place. It took a 1/2" socket to remove the seat bolt...it came out easy enough. The washer on the bolt was attached to the head so the "prong" on the floor mount went under it. After tightneing it down it was obvious that it was a perfect fit. The shaft is made from aluminum so do not expect to flex it around a lot before breakage occurs. The cradle holds my LG G5 nicely. The shaft does vibrate around a bit when I hit severe bumps...like railroad tracks...but not badly and it settles down after a few. The adjustment lock for the head is not the same as shown in this photo...mine has a large nut that surrounds the swivel...the one in the photo shows a little wing-nut. I like the large nut fine...it works like a champ. I strongly suggest this 15" Floor Mount Mini Grip.

Convenience, Functionality, Fairly Priced, Questionable Quality
I have been using the Arkon Universal Mini Grip 15 Inch Floor Mount for just over a month. I am happy overall. Installation was a breeze and it functions exactly the way it should. My iPhone looks good and is in a convenient location making it easy to access while in my vehicle. I also like having the ability to use the iPhone in landscape mode. I can even place my GPS system on the Mini Grip eliminating me having to mount any plastic discs to my dashboard or attracting thieves who look for the suction cup rings on your windshield. In my opinion the construction of the Mini Grip is questionable. The flexible 15 inch gooseneck is made of a soft metal that can easily break if bent or adjusted too often. I recently had a dealer repair to my climate control system and the mechanic moved Mini Grip to access the center console. This loosened the mini grip at the base. After attempting to adjust the gooseneck in hope of tightening it for stability I was surprised that the mini grip snapped off at the base.Fortunately, I was able to drill out the soft metal from the base and ultimately repair the Mini Grip however this is not a product that you would have the ability to just push out of the way or readjust on the fly without compromising the integrity of the item. This is more of a "set it and forget it" addition to your vehicle. For the price, however, the positives outweigh the negatives and it was fairly simple to repair when it did break.

New Beetle dream fit car phone mount
2000 VW NB. After pulling out the gear shifter cover, looking under the seats, I pulled the cover off the right side of passenger seat handle (the one above the glove box). Eureka! A big solid bolted to metal bolt. The one that secures the left side of this handle. I ground just a tiny bit of metal off one side of the fork on the Arkon mount to center the mounting plate better on the bolt. I adjusted the angle of the goose neck to the next adjustment hole so it is angled just a little more towards the driver. (Arkon gets bonus points for their pre drilled holes) I honestly can't imagine a better location. It does not interfere with the operation of any controls. With my HTC EVO, I have an in car GPS easily readable at a quick glance. also is in perfect location for one hand phone operation with my right arm comfortably resting on the arm rest. I honestly believe that a mount like this will reduce accidents as you don't fumble for your phone or use two hands to operate it. I believe it should be required equipment for all drivers who use cell phones. I also haven't forgoten my phone since installing, as the empty cradle is right there to remind you. I dispensed with the plastic hose around the goose neck as the metal is smaller diameter and cosmetically clean. It is also necessary to trim the back underneath part of the plastic cover that conceals the mounting bolt. VW did a great job with this piece as it can be removed and replaced easily and doesn't have flimsy plastic tabs. For the first time in my life, since owning a mobile phone, this driver, car and phone--are one.

Works great and quality is very good
Hi, I've bought quite a few mounts for my iPhones over the last few years. This one is perhaps the best in terms of quality and function.I wasn't able to make the seat bolt bracket work in my 2010 Camaro. It just wasn't possible due to the design of the seats. I'm confident it would have worked in my truck though.Instead I mounted it using the included bracket and screws into the side of the transmission tunnel. Drilling holes wasn't my first choice but it worked great. Since the holes go through the carpet I'm confident I can remove the bracket later, fluff up the carpet and you'll never know it was there. I'll add some pictures soon. Here are some additional notes:- The flexible tube is long enough to give you a very wide range of mounting options- The brackets are all good quality metal- The portion the holds the phone is good quality plastic- It opens wide enough to accommodate bulky cases- It clamps down securly on the phone but can be easily released by pressing a button- The phone can be rotated to any angle (e.g. portrait, landscape or anything in between)I have a feeling I'm going to be very happy with this one. There is honestly not anything bad to say about it. The product is good, the instructions are good and it's priced reasonably. I'm very pleased.Regards,John
