While this monitor worked well, I was unable to change the main display. It would only be placed on the extended monitor, which is smaller and not conducive to how I work.

Very good screen, and the resolution is great.. this is exactly what I'm looking for.. thank you.

We have had this monitor for almost two years and in use for less than that (maybe in use for a year and a half, it was bought for a gift). Overall, the concept and utility is fantastic and super useful for what it was purchased for. The main complaint is the connection part that attaches the monitor to the laptop. The laptop it's used on is almost never mobile, it stays on a desk in one place and closed up when not in use. The side that attaches it is weak and pulling apart so much that you can see the insides of the Duex monitor. The monitor itself still works but has to be propped up and supported at all times in order for it to not rip apart completely. I definitely feel like this should have been a better quality, more durable item based on the cost. Had it lasted longer, I'd certainly buy another at a later date if/when needed but as it is, I will probably investigate other brands now.

Pros: I like the convenience this offered, with the constant travel it's made working a lot easier having an extra monitor. I personally would prefer a screent hat swivels vertically to adjust the positioning, and I do believe they make a model that does that, I just already bought this one and it's not the worst thing to deal with.Con: The long magnets on the monitor itself kept falling off and I had to glue them back on. Also, the mounting can be a bit heavy for my laptop so it requires a tabletop or support on the bottom so my laptop screen doesn't fall open or closed due to the extra weight. But the most egregious thing is that the screen started flickering in and out about a month after purchase, and now it will completely just go black. I've tried different cables and ports, nothing works.

I bought this product with the folio stand. As for the monitor itself it's surprisingly good with easy install or setup that literally takes about 5 minutes. Once it's installed just hook up the USB and it's done. The folio stand though is not very useful and it's wobbly and not very reliable as it often collapses. Wish it was better like those that fold and cover the screen and can stand up on it's own. The brightness adjustment is also good and simple to use. I just wish that it had a power switch to turn it on and off as the only way to turn it off is to either turn off the laptop or unplug the USB. The cable is also designed well. The hinge though is a little wobbly and wonder what the durability of it is over time. We'll see I guess. It's nice that the screen can swivel and can easily be detached if needed as it's only attached with a magnet. I will continue to test it and provide update later.

I have long had two monitors for my desktops at home and at work. I find the dual set-up indispensable and found the singe monitor of my laptop too constraining to the point that there were many projects I put off until I could get to my desktop. That has recently changed with my purchase of the Duel Pro. I have spent the past week using it before writing this review. The response time is instantaneous when I click or type, and the image clear and crisp. I did have to change the default scale to a higher percentage to enlarge the size of text, etc., but I had to do that to my laptop as well. I can now work on a manuscript on one screen while having a PDF reference open on the other, for example.I will admit that the first screen I got from Amazon was defective and the screen remained blank. I worked with Mobile Pixel support to resolve the issue, but eventually had to make an exchange. The second monitor has been working great and is the one I am reviewing. Oddly, it will only operate on the USB A, not the USB C, but that is not a big deal. I am operating the Duex Pro on a HP Spectre, which has both USB A and C, purchased earlier this year, so I don't know what the issue is with the USB C. I did discover that the monitor must be disconnected when the laptop is shut down or put in hibernate because the back of the monitor stays warm showing that it is still drawing on the laptop battery. That is probably a laptop issue rather than a fault of the monitor. When unplugging the Duex Pro, the image immediately jumps to the laptop screen so that nothing is lost. Good thing since I once forgot to save before unplugging. I do like that the monitor can either be attached to the back of the laptop or operated with a stand, giving me great flexibility to where I want the monitor relative to the laptop. Overall, I am pleased with the purchase and give Duex Pro a five star rating.As an addendum added a couple weeks later, I have not noticed a significant decrease in battery life. I admit this was always a concern in the back of my mind.

Me gusto: funcional, aunque no es tan transparente la confirugación en un equipo Mac, pero una vez realizado funciona muy bien.No me gustó: los adherentes de los imanes a la computadora son frágiles y no suficientes, se despegan con facilidad y no se puede portar como sugiere el empaque, o se usa con una plataforma independiente o bien buscar pegarlo con un pegamento de mucho mayor poder.

Hace un año que adquirí este monitor y me ha encantado, estoy por reemplazar mi laptop y tengo una pregunta, ¿ Alguien sabe cómo le quito los imanes a la lap sin que se dañe? Fuera de eso, estoy encantado con mi pantalla.

Good product for price and very useful. But yes slide out mechanism can be improved.
