I bought this respirator mask because I suffer from lupus. Also, I have been doing home improvement and have issues with breathing when inhaling paint fumes. I have also tested this outside because I have a severe grass allergy. I did not write my review until I had tested this extensively for about a week. I wanted to give the pros and cons and let you know how I feel about the product with honesty and make the review comprehensive. I did buy this mask with my own money so I am not obligated nor would I give a dishonest review. Be careful about the sizing. I think I ordered way too big for my needs but again that was my fault. I was able to adjust the ear loops so that it fits my faceA bit hot but that is to be expected with any mask that is thick and able to keep out dust, pollen, bacteria, and germs. I suspect this will be less of a problem in winter.I will be wearing this mask when I go out. I will not wear it every time but if there is a large event or during flu season I will be sporting the mask. I love the crown design. I also enjoy the fact that I can be somewhat fashionable while wearing a mask. People are going to stare if you wear a mask outside in public. Let them stare but at least I know the mask looks good. This may seem small for some people but when you have to wear these things quite often it's nice to have a choice on the pattern.I'm definitely thinking about ordering a second mask for myself in a different print and one for my mother who has just finished chemotherapy and radiation.I would suggest this mask to anyone who has a low immune system, dealing with chemotherapy etc., is dealing with chemicals that have fumes, or has allergies. It definitely is one of the most comfortable masks I have worn. The pictures should show you that the material is quite thick but it's also very soft to the touch so it doesn't irritate my skin.If you have any questions let me know. I definitely will be suggesting this mask to my other friends who have immune disorders and want to go out but also want to be fashionable. Paper masks definitely do not have the protection of this type of respirator mask. A mask that actually fits and works well! I have an autoimmune disease and am on several immunosuppressive drugs. Thus I have to wear a mask in public. I had a hard time accepting that I had to wear a mask everywhere because people look and stare and judge. I also have a medical service dog so I go anywhere and it just makes me so sad and uncomfortable. With this mask, not only does it fit and is comfortable, the way I look at it is if people are going to stare, at least they're staring at my cute mask!

For my job, I need to wear mask everyday to protect me from dust and chemical odor. So far this mask has thick layers so when i wear it, I don't smell anything much. My glass didn't fog cuz it has the valve to let you breathe the air out which i think is very clever. The design is nice and fashionable. basically I love everything about this mask except the ear straps so uncomfortable. Also the size fit smaller too. I am debating whether i should buy another one but bigger, maybe the ear straps wouldn't hurt so bad if they are bigger.

I ordered my mask (size L) due to the Northern California fires, and also for international travel to countries with high pollution/smog. I am 60-65 kg, so technically between M/L, but I got the L because I am tall 5'9" and the L fits me perfectly; the adjustable loops means I can still get a secure fit without feeling cramped. I can tell the mask is working because when I take the mask off, I smell strong smoke, but with the mask on I can't smell anything (as long as the nose bridge/straps are adjusted for a good seal). But the valve is what really sets this mask apart and for me, makes it worth every penny. I also own a Scough bandana, which was annoying for the month I used it in India because it was always pulling down on my nose and I kept having to tighten the knot behind my head. I like this mask better for many reasons and I think it's a good comparison between "expensive" filtering products. This mask wins overall because the loops are easy to take on/off, I don't have to tailor my hairstyle for it (the bandana only really worked when I had a ponytail), it has a better seal, and its cooler inside (the bandana got super hot when walking around Mumbai).

I brought the mask because I needed it for a deep clean of my bathroom. I had to use different sprays. It was working okay at first. Then it became difficult to breathe with the mask. I tried just through my nose, just through my mouth and even a combination of the two. Nothing seemed to work and I had to take the mask off and rush clean so as not to breathe in the fumes. And even with the mask on the smell of the sprays was so strong I still had to leave the room even though I had the window open and fan running. I had really hoped that this mask would’ve worked better for me. At one point I was breathing so hard that I felt the air escape the sides of the mask. A bit disappointed.

Surprisingly comfortable. Great investment for the whole family (with appropriate sizes for everyone no less) in case of disaster, smoke, or other air contaminant. Great for BOB or home 911 kit.

I have asthma and was visiting New York so this saved me from all the smoke and air pollution. I just wish it came with extra filter liners

I use it for flying to avoid airline air due to sensitivity. Helps keep me from getting congested during fights and no problem bringing it through tsa
