Good Price - It Works
The Veloster Trunk Button (tailgate switch) for my 2016 Turbo works perfectly and was fairly easy to install. My old switch worked but the rubber that held it in the housing disintegrated making it inaccessible (photo). The OEM switch on Amazon is $60 and the switch from the dealer is about $160. It looked like the dealer would charge a few hundred bucks to do the job for me.I followed the instructions in Hyundai Technical Service Bulletin 16-01-072, which is available online. (The old 2016 recall is no longer is free for my car.) It is meant for Hyundai service professionals and I needed a little more explanation so I watched some YouTube videos. For example, “Step one: Open the tailgate.” You aren’t going to be using the broken tailgate switch. I crawled into the trunk from the back seat and used the emergency trunk latch.It took me about an hour. I checked that the trunk opens and the backup camera still works. The only tough part was the rubber grommet on the cable harness but I finally persuaded it into the hole.

JUST AS GOOD AS THE OEM.
I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE OUTCOME. I FINALLY GOT TO INSTALL THE NEW ITEM IN MY 2007 SUBURBAN. IT WAS FAST, EASY JUST PLUG AND PLAY. NOW I CAN USE MY BOTTOM AGAIN. VERY SIMILAR TO THE ORIGINAL. I WOULD RECOMMMAND AND BUY IT AGAIN.

perfect fit
Perfect fit for my 2016 Veloster Turbo. I swapped out the malfunctioning latch on the hatch, and figured I'd replace the button while I was in there. Dead simple swap, looks like OEM and functions perfectly.

Great Replacement Part!
The only reason I'm giving a 4 star is because of the inner housing round bushing comes larger than the OEM and it barely went through the hole provided. There was clearly a major difference in size from OEM and the aftermarket from this provider. Regardless, I managed to halfway stick it in enough to where it didn't block me from closing the outside housing. Other than that, everything else fitted perfectly.
