Great cameras for the price.
I am pretty happy with the SV3C cameras. They are great for the price. I got 2 of these 2 packs, so I've got 4 of them, which I've placed around the outside of my home.Pros:Easy installation. Once I had the app installed on my phone, setup was a breeze. It's all wizard based using Bluetooth, so it is nearly foolproof (nothing is 100% foolproof because fools are so ingenious). The hardest part was deciding exactly the right locations for each camera to give me the best coverage. I'm seriously thinking about one more 2 pack to give myself fully overlapping coverage of my entire property.I wanted to be able to see all my cameras live on one screen (I have another camera of a different brand covering my front door), so I've built myself a ZoneMinder server on Debian Linux. getting these SV3C cameras attached to it took a little work to figure out since I was new to ZoneMinder, but once I figured out the onivf functionality on the server, it was a simple matter. This is one of the biggest things I like so much about these cameras. I wanted something that I could see on my PC without having to subscribe to a cloud service. That's an option if you want, but the cloud is about as secure as posting things on Facebook, so I'm not a fan. Besides, I hate having to pay over and over just to use something the way I want to. Yes, I'm cheap! The image and sound quality on my end of these is great. They also sound decent on the camera end, good enough that I can be understood perfectly when I speak to someone through them. I don't know how good the recording and playback are from microSD card because I'm recording on my local server.Cons:I don't like that the only way to initially configure the SV3C is via an app on an Android or iOS device. Yes, I know most people have smartphones today, but not everyone. I have friends and coworkers that don't, but they do have a PC. I also know that this is the way that things are trending, but the option should still be made available to configure these with a laptop or desktop PC in case a phone or tablet isn't available.I did try to run my cameras with a solar power system, but that didn't work out so well. This is entirely my problem because the cameras simply require more power than my solar panels can provide over the long haul. The cameras come with 12V 1A power adaptors, meaning that 4 of them draw 48W max. I have a 100W solar power system, so I figured that would be sufficient to run the cameras and charge the battery, but I kept loosing power after about 2-3 weeks during the summer, so I guess I need more solar panels so I get more battery-charging energy. I've had no problems at all since moving the power to AC.These cameras are Chinese made. This really isn't too big a deal to me, but it may mean that they won't last as long as other, name brand cameras. Time will tell. It can (but not necessarily does) also mean that they could send their signals back home to China. I'm not doing anything that the Chinese would care about, so I don't care if they do or not, but just be aware that it's possible. Of course, who's to say that WYZE isn't sending everything to our own government? Truly paranoid people aren't going to use IP cameras, or they'll block the cameras from being able to reach the internet at their router.TL;DR:For the price, the SV3C camera is a great value, and I would recommend it to home owners and small businesses alike.

Overall a solid choice for entry level Security but I have some thoughts.
Update 8/3/2021Night mode on two of the cameras is dying. About every minute or two it switches from night to day for about 45 seconds and back again. Has been going on for about a week nowIf you are looking to have your first system this could be a good option. I found I had to hardwire them despite my gig internet and ASUS router. The lag from the cheaper wifi unit in the cameras didn't do me justice. The image quality is nice and if you use Blue Iris you will find the motion detection and recording is a breeze. They were easy enough to install with GOOD screws and a little practice with the angles. My one big gripe and one of the reason its only getting 3 stars is that one of the cameras has developed a dark spot. Its a shadow that must be inside the lens because I've cleaned it properly 3 times and it does not go away. I went back to see if it was always that way and it seems it was first noticeable after out first snow storm. I've included photos to show they are under my eves so protected from snow and rain. If the seller works with me on a new unit I'll happily change the rating. I think with good hardware a better ring and improved wifi adapter this would be a solid setup for the home user.1. Buy American Made Screws. These units include China white metal and they snapped off while screwing into cedar.2. Design the ring that covers the mount a bit better. Even if the screws are flush they pop off and look very cheap..3. 86 that software for PC, its horrible and near useless. (I bought blue iris and I couldn't be happier)4. Make it easier to update the firmware. If I wasn't tech savvy I'd never have found the software.Update 4/2/2021Cameras are still going strong and I've had some positive interaction with the company. Changed my rating in response to their help and effort.
