This is a very quality "keychain" sword. The blade itself releases from the scabbard and is made of metal. You could probably even sharpen this thing if you so desired. It looks and feels like a miniaturized katana and is really cool!Unfortunately, it is rather large. This is why I surrounded the word keychain with quotes in the above paragraph. It's way to large to strap onto your keychain and put in your pocket, plus your liable to poke yourself if you do that. I'd suggest strapping it onto a purse or backpack if you really want to take it with you places.

It's a novel item for a bleach fan, no other sane person will walk around with a sword for a keychain,That being said - This is a well made novel item, I expected much less of an item dedicated for fans of an anime series as usually they make a mediocre product, slap the logo of whatever it is that you like and charge extra for it,This one is actually well made, you can see the care that was put into it and it is a bit larger then I thought it would be,Star was deducted because there's no way (that I found) to attach the sword to the hilt, which might cause me to lose the sword in the future but I honestly am showing it off to anyone that is willing to see, it is a great one for fans of the series (or fans of swords as it is metal and can be sharpened)

Pay attention to the size - as a keyring accessory, this would be a bit large, but not larger than it says it is. The quality seems good - vivid colors, well-applied. My son, who is a sword collector, is pretty happy with it. It looks good on a backpack.
