Cobra Exhausts PowrFlo Air Intake Kit for Kawasaki 2006-14 VN900 models - One Size

I am embarrassed that I did not pursue this purchase earlier in my 2008 Vulcan ownership life.The sound and performance increase are unbelievable! Although the instructions are adequate, the install is very intuitive and took less than 30 minutesI am recco'ing to anyone who'll listen....

Missing was the "supplied M5 bolt" to secure the air sensor to the mounting plate and 1 out of the 3 lock washers needed to secure the mounting plate to the velocity-stack. This necessitated a 10 mile round-trip to Lowes where I spent about $5 out of pocket buying the replacement parts. The washers were located in the "uncommon washers" section and I had to buy a pack of 4. The "un-supplied M5 bolt" was in another pack of 4. I'll leave my frustration up to your imagination. The instructions and diagrams were adequate. The intake Cover had a small noticeable nick in the paint out of the box. It's not something I would repaint for, or remove stars for, but it is annoying since it can be seen from about 5 feet away. I'm not a perfectionist or anything I just like new-looking paint when I buy something new. I'm Ok with the product at this time, I just don't feel the quality control was upheld in my case, and it soured the experience.

I put this on my 2013 Kawasaki Vulcan VN900 Custom when I added the Cobra Fi2000 PowrPro Tuner and Cobra Speedster Swept Black Exhaust. I installed all three easily in a couple hours. They work extremely well together and have given the bike extra, sustained performance. NO - I do not work for Cobra.

I am happy with the performance and looks of this air intake. On one hand you have the low RPM sounds that weren't there before, due to replacing restrictive housing of the factory intake. On the other hand you have a noticeable improvement in sound, and acceleration through the power band.This intake is 70-80 bucks cheaper than its competitors in the same class, and the kit comes with a crankcase breather relocation kit.The flat black isn't a perfect match for my Kawasaki VN900C SE but it is really close, and the chrome grill hides a K&N filter. (The housing looks like a neat place to stick an LED if you are in to that sort of thing). Overall, I think it is a nice looking, unobtrusive piece, and it looks "at home" on my bike.I think a great way to improve the product would be to add some instructions. I have other "Cobra" products, a "2 into 1" exhaust pipe, also the "FI-2000" fuel processor. I am the type of person who studies instruction manuals before attempting the job, and I always wind up re-doing something with the illustrated, and less wordy, one page instructions.I removed my factory air filter housing and installed this kit in about a two hours. It took an extra hour because I wanted to relocate the breather. I needed a vacuum line connection cap for the breather hose connector on the air intake housing. (A trip to the local auto parts retail store, and 5 bucks worth of odds and ends)Overall, I am satisfied. Why not 5 stars? The instructions are not difficult, but they aren't thorough. I learned more from a biker oriented message board, than the instructions. So 4 stars, because there isn't a "4 and a Half Star" selection.

Installed this along with an fi2000r powerpro. Added a great throaty chugg to the sound of the bike and with the powerpro the bike is noticeably quicker. Easy install, but instructions lacking. Seams like someone was at the end of the day and got too tired for good instructions for the last part. Customer service was helpful. Total work tomorrow to install was about an hour and a half. Very streamline btw. Love the low profile.

Perfect fit for a 2016 Vulcan 900 classic. Easy to install. Sounds great by itself when accelerating. Sounds better with cobra exhaust.

Installed IAW instructions; bike is now difficult to start. Contacted customer service and received "sounds like something went wrong, have a nice day"Update: Got issue resolved without assistance of customer support. Product is a 5 star product. instructions are 3 stars. Customer service is one star at best.

Matches bike perfectly and very easy to install. Instructions won't lead you wrong
