The Art of Mandala 2: Adult Coloring Book Featuring Calming Mandalas designed to relax and calm

Very color-able designs in this. Have enjoyed it quite a bit.I slice out the page I'm currently doing so I can't speak to binding.The paper is normal quality. Not too slick, not too absorb-y. I use Sharpies and Bic markers, mostly plain colors but a couple of metallics, both fat tip and ultra fine. The markers do bleed but that's the nature of permanent markers, and it's comparable to any other paper. I have no trouble with the ultra fines gouging or creating uh fiber balls, you know what I mean? No bits sticking to the pen. The paper is as smooth when I'm done as it was at the start.Lots of variation in the designs. I have ordered many coloring books. But this JH’s volume 1 &2 have the best variety. Very less repetitive.Great for Gel pens, markers and colored pencils. There are fineLined designs to use gel pens.

I just love coloring mandalas. They are so very relaxing. Jason's first volume of The Art of Mandala was released a year ago. Great designs and I have a good portion of that volume completed. He has done it again. I just received Volume 2 today and am so excited. 50 delightful new designs. Many designs have more details and others not as much. There is something for everyone. Pages are single sided, but please place protection behind the page you are working on if you are using markers. You can also use pencils, glitter gel pens and fineliners for the detail work. Book is 8.5" square but mandalas DO fill the pages. (IMO, a mandala book does not need pages at 11" in length. That is just wasted paper space). Do get this Volume 2 at a great introductory price if you love mandalas as much as I do. (Also get Volume 1 if you don't already have it. It is only $1 more.) I have uploaded the first picture in the book. Used markers, glitter gels, and fineliners.

I only gave this 4 stars instead of 5 because the pages are smaller than I thought and some of the spaces are REALLY small. I am 54 years old, have bifocals, and smaller areas have gotten harder for me to see. But, the designs are beautiful, some are challenging, some are easier. The paper is high quality and the designs are only on one side, so they do not bleed or make markings on the other pages. If you love mandalas like I do, you will love this book.

I loved the Art of Mandala book so when I saw there was another one out, I grabbed it and I love it even more than the first! The designs are beautiful and range from simple to very detailed. The paper works well with both pencil and gel pens. Now I'm just waiting on a book 3!!

My favorite of all Mandela books

Although the designs are beautiful, occasionally they do not leave much 'white space' between the image and the binding which can be maddening. This is an image of something which I just started.

This book is the best one yet. Incredible quality for the price. Unique mandalas. I’m not very good at staying in the lines but this book has helped me to grow patience and allows me to really relax and and escape into my colors. Already ordered #2. Can’t wait for #3.

This book is loaded with beautiful mandalas, some more intricate and detailed. Lovely pictures makes for a calming experience to the colorist. You won't regret buying this well priced book.

I've brought this book 3 times as I just love the designs. They are quite intricate but not too difficult so excellent for me to colour.
