This shelf is rated for 800 pounds (evenly distributed). I have about 300 pounds of weight on the shelves and they noticeably deflect.In the image it shows a truss running along the center. The units I received does do have this, just a simple rod instead. If the truss were in place (as shown) the deflection would be less.
