Insiders' Guide® to Portland, Oregon (Insiders' Guide Series)

I purchased this book for an upcoming trip to Portland. I really enjoy how the book is arranged and how one can easily lookup places of interest as well as the many infamous restaurants of Portland! Fingers crossed the suggestions in this book make for a memorable trip!

Contains some helpful and unique recommendations, but I wish that the sections were organized by neighborhood instead of alphabetically and that some kind of transportation information was provided as well with respect to each site. (It is hard to plan an itinerary for the day or afternoon when you don't know what things are where.) Still, I believe at the time I bought it it was one of the most recent, up-to-date books on the market.

A very good overview, up to date. As with all these types of travel books, one wishes there were more in the sections YOU'RE interested in, but I would recommend it.

I liked this book but Portlanders (especially shop owners) are generous with their advice, so I mostly used it to learn about Portland's history.

Was a perfect gift for my sister and brother in law as they just moved out to the Portland area. Provides them with fun activities and sights for someone who's never been to that area. Cant wait to visit and use some ideas out of this book

This is a great book for someone moving to Portland, or for someone already there. I just visited for a few days, and enjoyed the extra background that this book provided

This was a great book. We had little time to sightsee so we did not get to use it to its fullest

Great little book, really helped me to try and get a feel for Portland and its districys. I'm looking forward to actually getting over there and exploring the city!
