Goggles ABC: The Amazing Flying Bear Alphabet Book!

After purchasing the Goggles book to read to my nephews and niece I fell in love with art. The story, the creativity, the words they're all equally as amazing but it was the illustrations that got me. Namely because they look hand painted and that's just a rare style these days. This took me back to a time (and I am not that old) where quality was valued over all else and that's exactly what these books are. Immediately I thought if this team of people have any other books I will buy them all, twice. I was disappointed to find that there are only two, including this alphabet book, but I'll take what I can get.The level of thought and care that went into this book really shows through and is likely going to be one of those books that become a generational tradition as they'll stand out in your child's memory through time. The theme for this alphabet is very creative and worlds beyond the "A is for Apple" that I was brought up with. The illustrations again have such detail that you won't mind when your child wants to read it for the umpteenth time because you'll still be noticing something that you hadn't the times before. It's clear that this book was created with the intention to bring adult and child together in a learning adventure full of wonder.As if I weren't impressed enough, there are coloring pages online that complement the book and characters. A really nice touch. These are people that I'm happy to support and I'm anxiously awaiting their next book.

With 3 kids we own and have read a lot of alphabet books and this is by far my favorite. So many books use words for some of the letters that are unfamiliar to little kids and that is not the case here. My 2 & 4 year old understand all of the letters, words & images in this story. I also love that each page/letter tells a story and is like a mini adventure and isn’t like so many of the other books out there with just a single word and single image on a page. My husband flies r/c model airplanes so we are a bit plane obsessed in our family so the added storyline of airplanes and flying and having so much fun on different adventures outside really hits this book out of the park for us. I’ll be buying additional copies for some other little readers in our family for sure.

I know young children will be attracted to this book because of its bright and colorful attractiveness. Next, they will get caught up in the alphabet as each letter and illustration almost tells a little story of its own. Just perfect for learning, and I (a grown-up) especially enjoyed when I came to the letter "E". Love how 'you know who' was wearing an (something else beginning with "e" and how warm and loving he is when he was bringing his friend back to where he should be, in the water! Like I mentioned, each alphabet letter has a tiny story in it due to the fantastic illustrations. Great idea! Altogether a wonderful book for little children.

The brilliant display of bold, rich colors is visually intoxicating! But as this is a Childrens book, I thought I should not use that term in my headline, therefore, I chose the word mesmerizing! I absolutely love this book featuring, Goggles. Jonathan and Richard Robinson are the book writing Dynamic Dual! The word choice, illustrations, and well placed hidden items (like the paw print in the clouds) all make for a fantastic story hour. The upbeat candace-like tempo coupled with the stunning colors will captivate young listeners and readers for hours of storytime reading. Great job, Jonathan.

What a lovely, delightful book! The illustrations are out of this world, and my 1-year-old was engaged throughout the entire book. I love this so much! I've already bought one as a gift for a family member, and I plan to buy another one for myself. :)

Very nicely illustrated ABC book by this author. Will look for more by him.

As usual, Jonathon's illustrations are amazing. They are colorful and bright, holding the attention of little people (and adults)! I like how the pages rhyme, making them easy to read. The capitol and lowercase letters make the book enticing for kids even in Kindergarten to read.

This sweet book teaches the alphabet with it’s flowing rhymes and beautiful, beautiful artwork! I loved how the author included a peek at his first book in the Goggles series (which is one of our favorites) at the end of the book. Well done!

Goggles ABC: The Amazing Flying Bear Alphabet Book! is the most gorgeous book to help children learn the alphabet. The book follows Goggles the bear as he discovers something that fits for the letters in the alphabet.On each page their is a beautiful illustration of Goggles or one of his friends which the children loved to look at. We also really loved how it was a rhyming book. These are the children's favourite kind of books as it helps the story flow so it was nice to see a rhyming alphabet story.The character of Goggles is so fun for the children to see as he appears to be such a kind and lovable bear. It is nice that we get to see his friends and family too though to add something different to the book.What I didn't like at the end of the kindle book was the sample of Goggles story about flying. I think this was very sneaky and unecessary as it isn't until the end of the sample that you get told it's a sample and young children don't understand the concept of a sample and want to know why the book has finished with a half started story. It is wrong to force parents into buying the next book in this way.Aside from this it is a gorgeous book, one of my favourites I have read about the alphabet and the children loved it too, I am out off by the sample though as that is totally unnecessary in a picture book.

This charming, beautifully illustrated ABC is guaranteed to capture the imagination of little ones and will be a delight for parents to share with children/grandchildren. Each letter tells its own 'mini story' through vibrant illustrations and a simple rhythmic verse that flows from one letter page to the next. I for one would have loved this as a child. The book ends with a sample from 'Goggles The Bear Who Dreamed of Flying,' which had me hooked - what a fun storyline and, again, such wonderful illustrations!

The illustrations in this book really are something else - we loved the dream-like quality and the characters used. They really helped my youngest to stick with the book - they're far more detailed and storybook-like than other ABC books we've used. Another plus point is that both the capital and small letters are positioned together - they're presented nice and big so I encouraged my son to trace the shape with his fingers.

I highly recommend this book for any young child. Such beautiful illustrations on every page. An essential ABC book that is a pure delight on the eyes! Parents will enjoy reading this, as much as the child.

This book has everything that I adored as a child and MY children loved it too! ABC’s, flawless rhyming and beautful “ soft as clouds” illustrations make this book one that we will reccomend for any collection .
