AbsolutelyGluten Free Cracked Pepper Crackers, 4.4-Ounce

I love this brand, and often pay the gluten-free premium at the grocery store to enjoy them at home. These particular crackers though, I ordered online because they were ever so much slightly cheaper, and I honestly was just trying to save a buck or two. Because sometimes in your life you can't really afford gluten-free foods but you want them anyway and you think that you can just get away with buying crackers for a bargain on amazon like a normal person. Shame on me then. They did arrive promptly, but as I opened the box, I could smell a strong smell of Incense. Like Nag Champa or something. It was coming from the boxes of crackers. I don't know why they smelled like this, but it was so intense that when I placed the crackers in my cupboard, it spread to all the food in there too. Not a terribly unpleasant smell, I mean, my parents were hippies, and I like to smell incense sometimes, like when I go to a shop that sells alpaca blankets and gongs... I just would never want to actually eat it. I thought that because the crackers were protected in a plastic bag inside the box, I would just throw out the boxes and the crackers would still be fine. However, the smell had permeated the inner packaging. Not only that, but when I opened the bag, the crackers were completely crushed. Like into little bits of teeny pieces and dust. I suppose you could argue that fragrance-tainted dust could still be eaten, but I paid $4 a box for these, so I wasn't in the mood. Buyer Beware, this seller has a NO RETURNS policy which seems insane, but I guess they must make a lot of profit selling inedible trash. (P.S. The crackers, when purchased elsewhere are delicious. I don't blame the manufacturer at all. This was the seller's responsibility, for which apparently they will not be held accountable.) Sucky. Especially when I was trying to save money, and instead of saving $4 or $5, I could have saved all the time it took me to write this review and just burned my cracker cash instead.

I don't normally give negative reviews on Amazon, but am thoroughly dissatisfied with this purchase. I absolutely love these crackers and have purchased them before from Whole Foods and other retailers, so I know the product itself is good. However, when I opened my first box today, more than 60% of the crackers are now just crumbs. The boxes were shipped in a BAG instead of a box, wrapped in bubble packaging, but clearly not sufficient to prevent crushing of the contents.These are one of my favorite crackers (and I'm not actually gluten sensitive), as they have a great crispy texture and outstanding balance of a little salty and a tiny bit sweet (from the honey). Would highly recommend - but consider buying elsewhere.

The crackers were smashed to bits upon arrival. So used it in soup and it was ok. Flavor is good. Couldn't use it for regular crackers/dip.

The best tasting gluten free crackers ever! You would never know that these were gluten free. All the characteristics of a regular cracker. Cracker actually looks good too, so okay for presentation to guests who might think gluten free food is unacceptable.

I purchased a three pack of the crackers and have opened two boxes. About half of the crackers are broken into half inch bits. Okay if I can use them for soup I suppose but it sure limits my uses. I have purchased the crackers at Whole Foods with no problems and do like them, just not broken.

Crackers are great except they arrived broken. Packaging is not adequate.

These are the best basic cracker around. Terrific with cheeses and meats, they make the best bread crumbs. The only downside is the shipping. They aren’t cushioned enough to prevent half from breaking.

I really tried to like these and served them to others - and the general consensus is a No...... No one liked them. They are really dry and even with cream cheese not that palatable. This was a miss......
