If you are looking for a well made and easy to use car battery charger - this is it!
I bought this NOCO battery charger to replace an ageing battery charger, and I needed a charger that would be suitable for the newer AGM/ Stop start batteries.Initially I had been given advice to purchase a well known competitor to the NOCO, but as I already own, and highly rate the NOCO jump starter/booster pack, I decided that I would stick with the brand. From the moment you open the box, it's clear to see that NOCO take time and effort to design and manufacture their products. The products are so well made, which make it a refreshing change from all of the usual cheaply produced rubbish that you see.The charger is a sturdy bit of kit and feels it. The battery lead come in two pieces - which is a brilliant idea. It makes it so much easier to attach the battery clamps to the battery, without worrying about the charger banging around behind. Especially as is often the case these days, the batteries can often be buried in the car somewhere. Talking of the battery clamps, they are a perfect size, not too big or too small, and the clamping pressure is spot on.The other advantage of the lead being in two is that you could permanently attach the clamp end to your battery terminals (obviously using the ring terminals instead of the clamps) and then leave the lead permanently attached to the car. It's simply a case then of attaching the other end (with the charger attached) to the lead - perfect if you want to regularly top up your battery. The end you leave on the car has a well made cover that simply attaches over the end and keeps it clean and dry, and the connection between the two leads is well constructed. On to the charger. It's so easy to use. Connect it all up to the battery and turn the mains on. The charger instantly goes on to standby, something that most battery chargers don't do, and I for one think it's an excellent safety feature. Simply press the button to select your battery type and leave it to do its job - it's that simple. The led's are nice and bright and show clearly the charging process of the battery. This is an excellent product and there are many reviews online for you to view before taking my word for it.Well done NOCO, another excellent product!

Well built reliable unit with absolutely flat battery function.
I store cars and also fit maintenance chargers to clients vehicles. After lots of faulty Ctek ones letting batteries go flat, I started to use NOCO. They have not caused me any problems in the past 3 years.Genius 5 amp is my go-to for newer vehicles. Older vehicles ( No electronics / computers etc ) the fixed 2amp one works well. Can be mounted in the engine bay and is waterproof etc. and works out great value.Leave them charging constantly.

Take charge of your battery...
This is one of those items that once you have it you wonder why you didn't buy it sooner. Particularly when I needed to call out roadside assistance during a period of cold weather this Winter as there was a battery issue with our hybrid car. Fortunately it was nothing major and didn't take long for the technician to get it going again, but we chatted and he suggested getting a charger as a preventative measure. Mainly as the battery on many hybrid cars will lose it's charge if they don't do sufficient miles or when parked for a long length of time. Several options were mention, this being one of them. It certainly does the top up, charging and other recovery jobs very effectively and came highly recommended, also at an affordable price. Functionality is very straight forward although there isn't a hand book or other instructions in the packaging which is possibly the only negative I will mention. Other than that it's fairly intuitive, compact and didn't get hot during use. Well worth putting among a list of potential buys if you are looking for such a device.

Superb
Id been interested in getting a battery charger for a while but in the past they always been bulky things and required removal of the battery which was not only too much faff but would cause my Mercedes a lot of problems in terms of settings and codes. This was all prompted by my car ebing laid up in lockdown and struggling to start some mornings. After seeing a noco in use at the Mercedes Specialist I sue I did some research and took the plunge with a genius 5.Seemed to be well reviewed and has a number of great features,. My merc uses a 12v AGM battery and a quick check under the bonnet showed easy access positive and negative poles. The charger arrived and it is quite compact but I was dissapointed not to have a bag included to keep it all together.Chucked my car int he garage and at this point for reference I have a 2017 B200d with original battery thats been driven on the motorway everyday for the last few months allbeit stood for say 4 weeks due to lockdown.Connecting up was super simple and a quick press to select 12v AGM and it started. As I suspected it was on les sthan 25%. I left it go for several hours and came back to find it on green and charged. Started well the first time. The charger has a repair and maintenance function and looking online all the specialists recommend topping up the battery regularly and even go as far as to say that with Mercs (that have two batteries such as mine) they should come with the hook up preinstalled or you should install hook up cables ready and it should be as routine as parking up your car,I think had I left mine that a wouldn't have run it have as much as needed to get anywhere near 100% and no doubt would have given out at an inopportune moment. An AGM battery is like to hundred notes and just this one use has probably saved me that in so much as regular top ups now will keep the battery going strong for hopefully years to come.
