Leuchtturm Medium Hardcover Lined Gold

I'm a fan of Moleskine notebooks and have been for a long time now, but they can be pricey. Recently I came online to look for planners and found the Leuchtturm notebooks. While I didn't choose one as a free-form planner, I did decide to order one as a book for notes on a long-term writing project.I'm so happy that I made that choice since I find I like the Leuchtteurms better than Moleskines! Not only did I get far more pages than I'd get in a Moleskine, but they are better organized with space for a title and date at the top of each one, page numbers at the bottom, and a table of contents in which you can keep track of your notes. As with Moleskine, there's an elastic band to keep the book shut when not in use, but there's also a pocket in the back in which to keep loose papers.The Leuchtturms all come with a sheet of labels. There are labels for the spine, which makes it a good choice if you plan to shelve your notebooks at some point, and labels for the front cover. The only thing even remotely negative thing I can say about these labels is that the ones for the spine are a bit difficult to center, and will peel up along the edges or at the ends. I've fixed this by putting a strip of transparent tape over them.While I like most of the colors they offer, the gold is particularly jolly, lending an air of importance to whatever you choose to record in it. The labels have gold borders as well, so everything looks very rich. It's terribly impressive on a shelf filled with tatty-looking old notebooks, like a Duchess among guttersnipes. It's also not that much more expensive than the ordinary Leuchtturms, so go ahead and treat yourself! You know you want to. And while you're at it, invest in a nice fountain pen to use with it. Making yourself feel special doesn't have to break the bank.

Beautiful notebook. I love notebooks and just had to have it. Now that I do, I can't bring myself to write in it because it's just so pretty.

This is a beautiful color gold. I purchased for business use and love it for the paper quality as well as the numbered pages and index. Two bookmarks allow me to keep track of pages. I fill these up quickly and it's great to have a nice assortment of colors to choose from.

These are great for journalist, especially bullet journaling, which is what I use it for. Can't beat it. I do wish my Sharpie fine points didn't ghost so much, but otherwise, they're perfect.

The color wasn't as bright gold as I thought it would be from the picture....more of a dirty/brassy old gold. The paper quality is amazing though and I love everything else about it.

I do love this journal but I was disappointed with the quality upon delivery. The spine had been beaten from the lack of padding in the packaging and the gold on the cover had been scratched. I'm still using this notebook but it is pretty pricey for a journal and I wish that it had been more properly packaged. The paper quality is great and my only negative was the effects of the packaging, NOT the quality of the notebook.

Love this journal. Paper is high quality, journal is just the right size. I suggest you get a great quality pen to go along with it. The only complaint is lack of pen holder. That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

i really love this item. however, i think they need a better bag to protect it when the seller ship it from German.
