These did why I needed, but...
...you can’t expect to vise something up and apply a lot of turning force to it. I use this to attach and remove muzzle devices on rifles. Well I have found that I usually have to attach a wrench to the barrel nut and secure that to keep the whole shootin match (see what I did there lol) from turning. Works, but it isn’t ideal. Also, some vise soft-jaws can be had with magnets in them to keep them in place while setting up your work. With these you have to adjust the vise close, place these onto the piece you are working on, slip them between the jaws of the vice, and the support the work until you can tighten the vise. Magnets eliminate about half the effort there.

They Work- but there is a bit of a Design Flaw
Ok, so they work, but a bit of a design flaw. You have to hold these, and the barrel with one hand, and tighten the vice with the other. In other words, if you set them in an open vice without holding them (without a barrel), they fall through- a longer upper flange or magnets would definately make them easier to use. I use them anyway, because frankly, they do hold the barrel very well once you have everything tightened down. Other No-Mar products I use work flawlessly, so hopefully they fix the design toale, yet, another awesome and affordable product.

PlastixRevolution Is My 'Go-To' Vise Block
Not only for barrel blocks - like these - but also for magazine vice blocks, PlastixRevolution makes high-quality tools that hold up to frequent (even hard) use, and still remain ready to go for the next project.I'm thrilled I found them quite by accident a couple years ago while researching AR-platform magazine-well vice blocks.Since then, I've added a few more PlastixRevolution products to my toolbox, and they've all been amazing.

I really like these vice jaws
I really like these vice jaws. I countersunk some holes and glued magnets to make holding them to the vice more convenient. Good for muzzle devices and misc. chores.

price
Good quality I gave it 4 stars because they never had a magnet to hold them to the vise but not a deal breaker at that price

Holds rifle and pistol barrels nicely
Holds rifle and pistol barrels nicely. The little lip is not wide enough to hold the pieces in the vise if it is open. However if vise is not dedicated to barrels this is not an issue. You can use double sided tape to hold blocks in place if you desire and if a chromed barrel is worked on and it rotates, try a cloth around barrel to reduce friction.

Temperamental.
Use a little tape to hold them in place when you clamp on your work piece. They are touchy though and like to flip up and dump your work piece on the floor. I got frustrated with them and just used a couple of scraps of wood. Might be ok for youtube props to make your shop look snazzy, but they don't actually work very well.
