I don't always have fresh basil to make homemade pesto, but I like to always have pesto available. My family loves pesto. It's safe to say that it's in their top five condiments. I have purchased several different brands of jarred pesto and every single one was far FAR better than the Italian Rose Pesto Basil Sauce. In fact, the first word out of my mouth after tasting this was "eww". I am grateful that I didn't ruin a dish by adding this to it.I am at a loss for words trying to describe the taste, other than *eww*. If you love basil pesto, you will not like this.

Don't purchase
Don not waste your money on this. I threw it out. the jar was sealed but it had almost a rancid taste to it. Now I know why it was so inexpensive.
