Just a good tool. Auto repair use
I have used this design scribe for decades in automotive transmission repair and general auto repair. I am retired now. Red thread locker keeps the unit together well... I still use these. thanks

worked fine and did not break
Fast shipping, arrived on time. Product as described. This is my first scribe so cannot compare to any others but it feels strong. Already used it for what I needed it for and it performed as expected. Needed to get access to some clips behind my headlamps, worked fine and did not break. Thank you.

The Pokey Tool!
This tool is one of, if not THE, most useful tool in my toolbox. Getting O-rings off, maneuvering clips, snagging dropped washers from tight spaces (esp. when they're not magnetic), this thing is great. And then there's it's actual use - scribe. It etches into metal just great. I've worked on my car's alignment using only the scratch marks from this and been happy. All in all, if you need to poke, pierce, tug, snag, scratch, or stick, this is the tool.

Used to remove O ring seals
This device was a great alternative to tiny screwdrivers. I was able to capture the edge of an O ring seal on a Jeep Grand Cherokee brake rotor and gently remove it without damage.

Stress crack at the hook.
Not at all impressed with this. There isn't a day that goes by on the job that I DON'T use a scribe, so when I saw the crack on the outside of the hook bend I knew it had to go back.If there's ONE thing a scribe hook gets, it's pressure, and that crack's gonna give.Odd though, it seems the manufacturing process for this one makes a slight cut (or nick) where the inside of the hook bend will be.I'm sure that makes it bend easier, but it didn't stop the outside from giving way.I did like how thick the rod was and the extra length of the hook, but...sorry.
