The Family Business 3

Disappointed...Bring back Eric Pete!
I'm a huge Carl Weber fan & I've read all of his books, I wait with anticipation for the next ones. I'm disappointed with this book! It did NOT pick up where part 2 left off, the chapters in the hospital dragged on for way too long & by the middle of the book I was bored. Parts 1 & 2 hyped Vegas up so much but when he came home he didn't do anything extraordinary at all. This story has very little action compared to part 2 but especially compared to part 1! Part 1 gave us storylines & action with ALL of the Duncan children, part 2 introduced us to femme fatale Sasha who was the baddest but by part 3 London is made out to be nothing more than a housekeeper & Paris and Sasha are more interested in blowing guys than blowing them away!! Family Business part 1 was excellent & Eric Pete was the co-author so bring him back for the magic formula with the next book please!

Very Disappointed
Let me just say I really love Carl Weber's stories; however, this book was so disappointing. I am not sure if it was having a co-author or not. Carl Weber on his own is amazing. But, when there is a co-author in the mix, it doesn't go well all the time. The first book in the series was written with a co-author, Eric Pete and it was fantastic and that is what got me hooked in the first place. Family Business 3 was just ok. In the previous books the readers get all hyped up by the mere mention of Vegas because of the characters admiration and praising every he had done for the family. In the third book his return was treated as if he had stepped outside for a second and came back. There was no fanfare by the Duncan family. Don't get me wrong the whole family was happy to have him back. Like I said previously, his return was very understated and overshadowed by the problems with Junior and his girlfriend Sonya. As for the actual storyline of Junior, Sonya, and Brother X, it felt clumsy at times. As if the writers were thinking about where to take the story and the other books it had been so effortless. Brother X was one really sick man, who had rats for friends. At first, you think his problem is with Junior and Sonya for having affair (Junior unknowingly in the beginning) but then it evolves into something else that I can't place my finger on.Things I really enjoyed about the book. We got to see more of Chippy and her relationship with LC. Also, we got to know her little bit better than in the past two books. Carl Weber did a good job of giving just enough information about the beginning of the relationship to make you want to read the prequel to Family Business, Grand Opening, whenever it comes out.The other good thing about this novel was the budding friendship/relationship with Sasha and Elijah. Spoiler Alert** Sasha is taken captive by Brother X's men. Sasha and Elijah develop a friendship through this captivity. Brother X tries to have his way with Sasha, but Elijah interrupts in the nick of time. Elijah is very machismo in the beginning and starts to appreciate a woman who is intelligent and voices her opinion and not always playing second to the man. So basically, I like that Sasha and Elijah's friendship start to have him question women's roles in society based on religious doctrine.Overall, I was very disappointed with book and personally I think Carl Weber should only work with Eric Pete for this series if he needs a co-author.

Another good read. I know there's gonna be another book ...
Another good read. I know there's gonna be another book with the way this ended it has to be. Where's Ruby and Vinnie? Who actually shot LC? When will they figure out about the Minister Farah dude? What happened to LC's other older brothers Larry and Levi and their women? Was Trent Larry's son w/NeNe? I have lots of questions but no answers. But this was a good read kept me up at night reading and crying! Can't wait for the next one. I think in the meantime I'll read From Paris w/Love. That girl is crazy!!!

Love this series!
Caution spoiler alert! This is a great series, but there are some unanswered questions. Whose son was Trent Duncan...Larry or Levi’s? Do we ever find out about the other two brothers and what happened to them? Who is Sasha’s mother? Is it Donna? Does Junior know who his real mother is? About to begin Reading FB4!

SCORE!!
And the greatness continues. Carl, I'd love to take a vacation in your mind, it's a wonderful thing. To be able to continuously write hit after hit; amazing. The great LC is put down, but his children come together to avenge their father. I'm happy Chippy was able to use her power to bring Vegas home. Paris and her twin personality cousin Sasha are a dynamic duo; Beauty, Brains, and Bruteness. Those two have a sexual appetite that most men desire in women, sadly for their conquest, it's the last piece of pussy they tend to get. I'll call them the "Killer Black Widow Duo". Paris is an insensitive spit fire which she can accredit to her father. Someone needs to humble that girl. Vegas come to life in this third installment and I love him just as much as the Duncan family did. JR is head over hills and he’s determined to have Sonya as a part of his life despite the bloodshed that will take place. I’m a sucker for love, so this plot was all for me. Rio really stepped up his game and I loved it ( I really need a flaming gay bestie), he is definitely coming in to his Duncan own. Each sibling get their fair share of screen play accept London but her husband does. This book really hit home when it talked about Maria infertility issues. This book was able to drawn real emotions, and for that I say kudos’s Mr. Webber.

Wow Carl Weber I sure hope there is a book 4 because I need to know who shot LC and what the family is going to do about it...but, would you please put these family members in Check start with Paris, they allow there love life to interfere with the family business and almost get everyone killed. Other than that Love the the series....LoL..Now let's get to what LC has to say since he's woken up...and shoot let us see what Mrs. Chippy's specialty is....LoL....Read this one overnight and I wanted to read on....LoLMr. Weber thank you for bringing the characters to life...I love a book that you can visualize what's happening.....
