Learning the game is not easy but this helps a lot..
I have purchased several of these booklets and they are very helpful to determine the correct bidding using the Audrey Grant teaching method. This booklet has tabs on the edge to help find what you need in a hurry. It also has a complete summary of each tab on the cover listing each topic inside with the page number. The cover has a bidding ladder that shows you how many points are needed to make game and how many tricks you need to take to make game. Inside there are color codes for each bid that tell you if the bid is forcing, invitational, sign-off, or conventional. I am a retired teacher and am always looking for ways to simplify directions. Audrey Grant is a master at this. It could not be organized better. The tabs and corresponding page numbers are: Opening the Bidding, Responding to one club or one diamond, responding to one heart or one spade, Responding to 1NT and 2NT and opener's rebid, Weak twos and other preemptive bids, Rebids by opener, Rebids by responder, Overcalls and Advances, Takeout doubles and advances, The Competetive Auction, Stayman and Transfers, Artificial 2Club opening and responses, Blackwood, Gerber, and Slam Bidding, Declarer Play, Defense, Glossary, and Scoring. Each tabbed page has a color coded list of how many points needed and how many cards needed for each bid.The page facing the color coded charts has clear concise information on the tabbed topic. It really doesn't get much better than this little booklet. Even though I have played Bridge for many years I still find it indespensible every time I play.Yes, it does come apart at the center fold. I have purchased at least five of them. I laminate them with tape at the center folds and edges. I fisd that easy to do and worth the effort. I have been playing Bridge for about 6 years and we all need to look things up from time to time. There are so many things to remember with this game and it is very challenging. I'd rather look something up than make a mistake. Also, this is Audrey Grant's version, it won't help with Duplicate Bridge or Goren Bridge styles, although there may be some similarities. Audrey Grant Bridge is very commonly used in my area. I taught school for 41 years and know how to present information in an orderly, organized way. I does not get better than this! Audrey Grant also has written several excellent books for beginners to advanced players. Each book has a summary at the end of every chapter and a review quiz. The titles are, Bidding, Play of the Hand, Defense, Commonly Used Conventions, and More Commonly Used Conventions.

Nicely organized
I am very new to bridge, and find it hard to remember everything about the bidding. This pocket guide is so helpful - I try to decide what to do, and then it is very easy to look up and see if my guess was correct. The tabs make it simple to look up the correct next move. I play in a beginner's game, and they let us use these guides. Also, I play online, so I can use the guide for that as well. It is definitely helping me to learn bidding practices.

Best purchase ever for bridge player who wants to learn
I purchased this booklet because of favorable reviews on this Amazon.com site. I wish I had had this booklet from day 1 of my first bridge lesson a year ago. It is absolutely easy to use, totally helpful and informative, and the way it is set up is the best way to quickly look up something about which you might have a question on a bid - whether to bid or not, and WHAT to bid. It has made such a difference in my bidding of the game, which had always been questionable for me. It has such incredible "blocks" of bidding information, which makes it simple to look up anything and everything. It even goes so far as to help with rebids and overcalls. These are especially helpful in second round bidding, etc. I have now bought 6 more for my bridge friends, and a spare for me. I would recommend this for anyone. It's a compilation of so much information in such a handy little booklet, and I love the non-paper of the pages. It's very strong and almost has that laminated feel that makes it sturdy and easy to handle and keep with you in your purse or wherever.

Helpful, though a lot of information
This “cheat sheet” is very organized, but a bit dense. Still glad I bought it. Very handy reference.

Really Handy!
Having just recently "learned" how to play bridge, I thought this guide would provide a good review and reminder of what I have been trying to absorb about this game. Who knew that there was so much to know? It seemed much like learning/studying a foreign language - so much to remember. This guide will probably get a good workout along the next few years! It seems very comprehensive and is very well organized with easy explanations about the basics and more.

Great guide but falls apart easily .
I give it 5 stars for content but it deserves 1 star or less for the durability of the pamphlet. Therefore as a compromise I have given it 3 stars. I have had mine for 3 months and although I have been careful in my handling of it, it has completely fallen apart. I did make a color copy, but the copy is not easy to use, because of the "tabbed" nature of the pamphlet. Surely it cannot be that hard to make a sturdier product. Mine is now unusable and I find that very annoying.

Great overview and explanations of bidding and the game. I thought it was a laminated fold out but it's actually a small booklet and very easy to follow.
