added the right touch to my town crier costume. made my new shoes look old time

Great price for a good quality costume accessory. I expected these to be much lower quality than they were. But the "leather" is thick and the buckle is a strong piece of metal (not flimsy/bendable). They are pretty large, so keep that in mind. If you have a small foot, they can be a bit overpowering on the shoe. To make sure they stay in place, I suggest rolling a little piece of tape and placing it behind the buckle and then use a little piece of duct tape to hold the elastic in place on the bottom of the shoe. If you don't do something like that, they will slide around a bit unless you have a large foot.

They are okay from a distance, perhaps on stage or something. my son was in a small theater so we choose not to use them since it would be easily visible to the audience that they were fake (meaning not real colonial style shoes).

Got these for my mom. She really liked them. Haven't heard a single complaint from her so I assume they work well.

Got for a fancy dress party in a field and these held up all evening.

It Served the purpose and looked pretty authentic. It added the finishing touch to my kids old fashioned ensemble.

The buckles fell apart after an hour as the glue just came away. I had to buy a staple gun and pin them together for them to work.. Don't buy this item
