Vitamin K2 and the Calcium Paradox: How a Little-Known Vitamin Could Save Your Life

A highly interesting book containing much important new knowledge concerning our health
I ordered this book shortly after in Amazon haven received the recommendation to it, and then in the books title remarked, and then wandering, about the connection between the Vitamin K2 and Calcium, and therefore went into the book searching after more about what do the K2 have to do.Each day, I and my wife, are taking the Calcium and Magnesium, together with the other standard Vitamins, which I during my life again and again have learned to do. But furthermore because my wife is having the problem with joint pains and we therefore further more are trying to prevent the normal women problems concerning especially the vertebra. And besides, personally, 6 years ago, I was through a surgery, after, luckily, by pain, having resulted in by X-ray discovering the bone in the right arm, up to the hand, being hollow. But after in Amazon having ordered this book, I many times, in Amazon, went searching to find out what's writing we get in other books about respectively the Vitamins K1 and K2, instead of only learning of the K, but I, until now, have found nearly nothing. I owe more than 250 doctor and health books, and in the previous weeks, before ordering this book I was thinking about buying a 550 side's thick Biochemistry book, which is printed in 2010, and being used by studying persons. But even in this book, like in the other books in which I've been searching, I only have found writings about the Vitamin K, and not mentioning the K1 and the K2. And this when we in the actual book, "Vitamin K2 and the Calcium Paradox", learns about in which quite different important processes the K1 and the K2 are involved. So this book written by Dr. Kate Rhéaume-Bleue surely is extremely up to date. And by now I'm speculating about waiting to buy the actual Biochemistry book until it comes as a new up to day printing. In the "Vitamin K2 and the Calcium Paradox" book we are getting much important, and helpful, information. For example, to me, it was helpful to read which amount of the Vitamin A we must take, as here in Thailand we only can get this Vitamin pill I a size containing 25.000 IU, and then being nearly impossibly to cut them in halves. So I've been talking about the problem with doctors and chemist's, as we in all of the books which I've been reading, in the previous months, only are allowed daily to taking 8.000 or 10.000 IU. But in this book we for example read that daily taking 25.000 IU, during 2 to 12 years, newer have shown any problems. But especially we also learn about the important connection between the Vitamins A and D.But besides, as anther important information, we also learn much about the different half-life time for the 2 possible variants of the K2 which we can get. That is the HK-4 and HK-7, with their half-life times on respectively around 2 hour and 2 days. So that we have to use the HK-7, but in case we only can get the HK-4, then we have to part it over 3 times a day.In this book we for example also read many interesting information about how the teeth have changed with the culture, how Dr. Price, more that 70 years ago wrote, and showed, that already the first generation on the western food and culture had the deformed teeth. And that the reason especially is coursed by pregnant women missing K2, as already then the previous dimension of the jaw, for the not yet born child, is determined. But we also learn much about the importance of the K2 in the connections of among other: Diabetes, Arthritis, Brain, Nerve, Prostate Cancer, Lung Cancer, Liver Cancer, Leukemia, and Kidney Disease. But actual, for most persons we are having the importance of KT in the connection with the Aortas, and thereby Hearth Attack. And here we in an actual case result see how fast the K2 helped, cleaning for the Blood to pas by in Aorta, as after only 10 month the Aorta had cleaned inside by trebling the square area, by making the passage diameter increase from 1.6 cm to 2.9 cm.This book is absolutely a very important book, which in a couple of years nearly probably will be the only one in which we are getting the correct, and up to date, information concerning health.

Calcium Paradox, Factory Paradox
Doctor Kate Rheaume-Bleue has done a remarkable job of combining easy expository writing with an extremely complex medical fact story, in a long overdue effort to give a just voice for the SECOND vitamin K, menaquinone. Entirely fact based, the book covers most of the research performed since 2001. This is also a fine celebration of the obscure work of a driven dentist, who, in the early 1930's became so disillusioned with his "drilling and filling" practice that he created his own state-of-the-art vitamin laboratory, and with his wife Florence traveled to the most remote cultures he could reach on the earth . . . just to find out how so many healthy people WITHOUT DENTISTS could thrive without bone or teeth problems. Weston A. Price thus became to many of his readers, a beloved leader in empirical fact, and this author's work is a lovingly executed and just tribute to the pioneering work of Doctor and Mrs. Price, published in 1939: Nutrition and Physical Degeneration, and now republished by the Weston A Price Foundation, under the leadership of Sally Fallon Morell. Doctor Kate has vindicated many of Doctor Price's results, and linked his Activator-X now to Vitamin K2. She has has even reproduced many of Doctor Price's B/W 1939 photos of the smiling "primitive" people, most with better teeth than you and I have despite our dental budgets, all without benefit of germ-theory or of chemistry, who culturally recognized the essential nature of dense nutrition only obtainable from animal fats. Today, with our current "medical profession" daily trying to cut us off from these very foods, based on oversimplified science, it is no wonder that our entire culture is critically deficient in Vitamin K2. One might well ask if their false media advice has a devious purpose in drug sales, but Doctor Kate never lowers her writing objectives to such matters, and throughout maintains a positive, organized, enlightened approach to saving OUR health. The chapter notes include over 240 research references, of which I recommend the singular Rotterdam study, q. google. Especially your aging family needs more Kate-too!

Should be part medical school training
I am a health fanatic who reads up on everything and this was one of the few books I think should be part of every medical school training. Why? Because medical school is far, far too short on preventative training, and this book is all about how to avoid future problems. It is also one of the few such books which is properly scientifically referenced. If the field of medicine is about improving health - scientifically - this book or it core topic of vitamin K2 needs to be part of the agenda. I do however have two concerns. Although well researched and well referenced, some of the conclusion in the book are over-reaching and creates the impression of a cure-all. This book was published in 2013 and since then a ton of new information about K2 has emerged, much of it which corroborates the book's conclusions, BUT NOT ALL. Secondly, readers MUST follow up on the large amount of online information about K2 to better understand the emerging science and its health repercusions, particularly from Chris Masterjohn who is also referenced by the author Kate Rheaume-Bleue. Overall, I think this book is an absolute basic minimal for medical school training because of the immense health benefits of such a simple nutrient such as K2 and its potential impact on an already strained and complex medical system.

Great book
A very comprehensive explanation and research carried out on K2 and how useful it is. I have found it very useful. I wish all GPs would understand the K2. My GP does not understand and mistook for vitamin K only and has not heard of K2. The doctor in the hospital knows about the K2 but felt it was a recent discovery of its essential need for the body if one is having calcium carbonate. I have osteoporosis and have been prescribed Adcal3, which means injesting massive amounts of calcium carbonate (chalk), but nothing to transport to where it is needed like bones and teeth. My dentist did not understand this at all. When my teeth were in pain, she asked me to wear some sort of brace at night to separate my upper teeth from lower ones as she believed this was the reason. This cost me £260, but the pain never went away. She could not do anything about it. When I started taking K2, the pain disappeared. I do not yet know whether any difference to my bones has been made so far. When I have my next dexa test, I shall know. Doing heavy weights training is another recommendation to strengthen the muscles and bones. The book is well written with excellent information for layman.

An antidote to the diseases of western civilisation
K2 Mk7 combined with Magnesium, D3 (preferably sun), a low carb high fat diet spells a state of healthfulness that most people in western societies can only dream of. Kate Rheaume Bleue explains the critical nature of K2 in circulatory and bone health. She does so in plain English with clarity and logical flow. This text should be standard reading for anyone interested in nutritional health, which quite frankly means everybody. I am indebted to Kate for the improvements I see daily and I cannot thank her enough for helping me to the best health I have known for MANY years. At 65, I have MANY years to call on there! What a gift to humanity. I hope this finds a much wider audience in years to come. It deserves to.
