Good camera
This is a good camera, it takes good pictures and it's very convenient with the telescopic and wide-angle lens built in automatic. No swapping out lenses and fooling with focusing . Perfect for somebody that's not a professional but wants to take good pictures.

Great Camera BUT VERY Slow
I'm one of those photographers who while on a budget still likes to have toys to play with. This camera is one of those many toys I've purchased over the years. It was never intended to be a daily shooter for me just something I took out on occasion to take some pictures with for fun. Like, for instance, the train yard not far from my house is a fave place to go take pics. The tracks that lead to them and yard itself provide some fantastic opportunities. Lots of great shots. It actually does perform quite well and I was pleased at the quality of the resulting pictures. But there is one major drawback and that's the processing time between shots. And if you're the type of person who wants to take that next shot immediately this is not your camera. I used it in sport mode the time at the yards so I'd get get between 3 and 5 shots per click of the shutter. And the downtime between shots is anywhere between 5 to 20 seconds. So you get this spot on shot of a bird sitting on the caboose and then want to get a shot of the bird closer up you'll be waiting for a few moments. Which will likely mean the opportunity is gone by the time the camera is ready again. This makes it nearly impossible to use in a setting such as sports where you have to be ready at all times. That aside the pictures you get are pretty great. The zoom is fantastic (especially with a tripod) and will get you close to places that you normally can't get too. I'd say it's definitely worth the money. I'm very pleased with the purchase overall. But definitely upgrade the included memory card.

Camera is kinda OK but no support
I have not tried all the settings yet. So far would rate this OK. Primarily bought for the long zoom and price. Zoom is nice must say, but if use video on long zoom, camera keeps trying to find focus?? Called support but they are worse than useless. Camera has a learning curve that is a bit steeper than I hoped. My last long zoom point and shoot was a Nikon. I had some questions and surprised to learn best way to ask was email, no chat available, but support is really poor. Some menu items kinda strange. There is not a setting for how long you would like it to stay on, 5min is max. Time is only in 24hour mode. LCD brightness dims automatically after about 15sec if you do not actively change a setting, so if just observing your scene, the screen will get dark, to the point you cannot see anything. Support never got back to me on this issue. Auto face detection default is on, and cannot permanently change this, I have to turn this off every time the camera boots up. So far it seems it does take decent photos, and the WiFi connection is OK. I mainly use shutter speed priority mode, and camera does not always get the exposure correct. Could be I need to get used to this and adjust, but other cameras I had never had an issue. I will likely keep this camera, but next time will spend a bit more and get a Nikon or Canon. So far no issues with battery or transferring photos to my computer. would recommend to avoid this camera.

Great Point and shoot with a long Zoom for the non-pro.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:For the non-pro that is seeking a light-weight point and shot zoom this is by far is my choice. Previously I used a Cannon 420 sx for 10 years that became my trusted companion for hiking, hunting, fishing, cycling, traveling and family photos.I thought I had bought new but checked as it arrived with a stamp "used but in good condition.” I was frantic. I checked and did buy used but this thing was exactly like new without the box but wrapped safely. It comes with one battery, a stand alone charger, strap, lens cover and I think a 32 GB ultra 1 sd card but not sure and no way top check now. I use Macro for flowers and the rest of its use I keep on live. Its not a $5000 camera so don’t expect its processes to be that equivalent. For < $500 its an absolute steal!

wood have bern a good camera except for internal spot
would have been a decent camera once I got it all set up ( dont bother with minolta app not worth the trouble just get a dongle) a few test shots and a visble spot in upper left quarter. carefully inspected outside snd cleaned with photo lens wipe and it still appears. even more noticeable when in zoom mode. dissapoining as we were using for a special even in a week so requesting a refund. an internal spot can't be fixed.otherwise imaging from the few test spots were good for price if camera. zooming is a bit instead tripod would be recommended. sunset mode was great. dog mode was good though some blurry shots. photo with spot added to reviewsize of camera feel of camera were good. great point and shoot. case it comes with is flimsy. SD card never would format used a secondary one I had and it worked. instructions were not good in the wireless setup. that was frustrating. dont use the wireless just get an SD card reader to down load much easier.only had it for a few hours so unable to comment on printed picture quality, battery life, or video quality. did not try all the modes either.if you get this camera test out the pictures right away

Granddaughter Loves It!
Our beautiful granddaughter is taking a digital photography course at her online high school so we decided to purchase her a camera.I spent a long time researching for the best camera and this one definitely checked all of the boxes on paper. We give it to her and it was a huge surprise and success. First thing she loved about it was, of course, I⃨⃨T⃨⃨ ⃨I⃨⃨S⃨⃨ ⃨P⃨⃨U⃨⃨R⃨⃨P⃨⃨L⃨⃨E⃨⃨, which is obviously important when you are seventeen (17) years old!The quality of the camera is everything you would expect from Minolta! It easily connects to the WiFi to transfer photos and videos. It has all the pre-set modes for picture taking such as: party, children, portraits etc if one did not know how to set or change the settings themselves. It is just the best camera for the beginner and for those who are advanced photographers.
