Tanya American Doll

The doll arrived from Maru &Friends in a box that is very pretty, decorated in bright colors and pictures of dolls - -spoiler alert if ordering - it's plain as day what is in the box. My first thought was the presentation box was damaged, but it is not. The shipping box was not sealed along the long opening side - the tape was old and yellowed and brittle, but the rest of the box was taped up well.The presentation box is standard clear plastic front. The doll was not padded properly, the bits for her head, etc were floating loose in the box. Her sweater was partially unfastened. Her hair was in a net, the color exquisite and it has a nice sheen.All in all she is a lovely doll, but I am underwhelmed. The eyes are gorgeous, but the face offers up a rather empty feeling that I can't quite put my finger on. I didn't remove her from the box - bye bye Tanya.

The pictures showed 2 clothing options and I wasn't sure which one I'd get. Thank you, Maritza (seller), for giving me the right information. My Tanya came wearing the beautiful blue dress, which is what I wanted.One reviewer mentioned the bodies on these doll. I too thought they were shaped a little oddly until my sister explained it has to do with dressing them. She's right. Holding them at the waist to change the clothes, putting their arms into sleeves... the doll is designed to make it easy for little girls.The whole Maru and Friends line of dolls are delightful! And the icing is that they are affordable in comparison to many other collectible dolls currently available.

Tanya is absolutely beautiful. She is made of high quality vinyl and her beautiful eyes and her sweet expression. I highly recommend Maru and Friends dolls.

Everything is top-notch! Tanya is gorgeous, and her Byzantine-blue dress is perfect: any collar, necklace, lace or embroidered and crocheted decoration goes well with it. I like the way Tanya assumes different poses; her arms are designed to carry various toys and accessories, to hug friends ))) She is very lovable! Many thanks!!!

Tanya is my third Maru and Friends doll and so far she is my favorite. I was worried that her vinyl would be very dark, but it is gorgeous as are her light brown eyes. The quality of all of these dolls is excellent--much better than most dolls of even a much higher price.

I do not like the American girl cloth part of the body, but they are still pretty and great for children to play with.I still buy them when they catch my eye.

This is a beautiful doll! Another fine sculpt by Diane Effner, and great size for kids to play with.

Very pretty face. Seems to be good quality doll, but her body shape is a bit odd. Especially around the neck and shoulders.
