Dog Recovery Suit Abdominal Wound Puppy Surgical Clothes Post-Operative Vest Pet After Surgery Wear Substitute E-Collar & Cone(S,Blue Stripe)

We used after my dog's spay surgery and it worked well. There's just a lot of difference in sizes. My dog is 20 pounds and we ordered a large based on the size guide. It was surprisingly loose on her, but I didn't have time to exchange, so I washed and dried it on high heat, which helped so it was serviceable. I ordered a medium to have a spare (she had to wear for 12 days) and it was nearly too small....but again, serviceable.

I bought it to try and avoid using a cone after a spay. It served its purpose well. She was able to go to the bathroom without taking it off. We did remove to check her stitches but other than that she wore it for 10 days straight. I wanted to wash it every so often, but the size was already pushing it. I got an xl. She is a 6 month old labradoodle weighing around 32 pounds at the time. We wouldn’t be able to use it again if needed since she was already growing out of it towards the end. I measured her ahead of time and this should have given her room to grow a bit more and there was no way. It was almost too small upon arrival but I didn’t have enough time to return and order a size up. A few times she was trying to get through it and I thought I would have to get a cone. I don’t think this would have stopped her from biting at her surgical site if she wanted to. But I think it helped to encourage her to leave it alone. Definitely size up. And not sure how this would work for a male neuter, but worked well for our girl.

This worked great for when I had my dog spayed. It was a light fabric with snap enclosures and fit well. My only complaint is that my dog was able to kinda chew through it so I had to patch it. Thankfully she didn’t chew at the insision site.

We got this for my 65 lb Akita after her surgery and she definitely likes it more than the cone. The material is soft and it does fit nicely around her body but a little tight in the legs, may end up cutting to give it more room. The snaps hold it nicely and she’s pretty mellow on her pain meds right now so we didn’t have much trouble getting it on her. But if you have a rambunctious pup the snaps will probably be a bit of a problem cuz it does take a bit to get them all done up.

I absolutely recommend this suit for post-surgery. My pup hated the cone so we had it off of her day 1. Luckily this suit came in and it fit like a charm per the sizing chart. It prevented her from licking her incision, and also kept it dry. It is soft material so she had the freedom and comfort to nap and walk and lay. I also appreciated the snaps on the back because my dog hates anything going over her head as well as Velcro sounds. This made it easy to take on and off for potty breaks and checking her incision. Recommend this suit!

I got this to save my sheepadoodle from the dreaded cone of shame after her spay. Another pet parent suggested it, and I was so grateful for it. Literally, it was a lifesaver and my 60 lb pup was very comfortable in it from the start. We got the XXL for her and it fit great... aaaand then four days later, my daughter was petting her and noticed the giant knot on her chest. When I say giant, I mean, the entire breast was matted beyond belief. I couldn't photograph it because it was just too big. It took me two hours to cut and comb it out. And then I found another one on her hip. and another on her belly. And another on the other side... and once I finished getting all those out, the very next day, I had to start all over again. Basically, this is a great little outfit for short haired dogs, but a terrible outfit for long haired doodles.What was a lifesaver from the start turned into my worst nightmare. Literally, I have to pretty much shave my dog down everywhere this bodysuit was because she's so terribly matted from the suit. It is like a sad torture device and it only takes a day to create more knots... it's awful.Could they line it in satin or something to stop it from rubbing and causing the matting? It's just the pits.If you don't have a long haired dog, this thing is great, if you have a sheepdog- or sheepadoodle, forget it, or get it and line it with bathing suit material, silk or satin because otherwise, this thing is going to be your worst nightmare.

My female shitzu got spayed and I was dreading having to use "the cone." I tried this suit because of positive reviews, and Man-oh-Man, it made my pups recovery so much more comfortable. My Shitzu is 11 pounds and she fit into a small perfectly. There is an opening for dogs to poop and pee with comfort. No mess. My pup is a female and I just put the little onesie on her and it was perfect. There is a reinforced circle where a male dogs penis would go. You can cut out a hole and it will not tear if you stay within reinforced area. I would definitely recommend to anyone who will have a dog recovering from surgery or dealing with hot spots.

I have 2 dogs. This was necessary to keep both dogs from licking the incision from one of the dogs spay.My whippet mix is long in the torso so I did cut the legs off.

Ho dovuto cambiare la taglia perché il primo stava un po' lento... Ci vuole un po' di pazienza per chiudere i bottoncini ma il cagnolino mi è sembrato a suo agio dopo l'intervento alla milza ed abbiamo evitato il collare elisabettiano... Lo consiglio
