Orei XD-990 PAL HDMI/RCA Composite to NTSC HDMI 50/60 Hz Multi-System Video Converter - Up to 1080p

I am using it to transfer old VHS tapes into a digital format. The output is in HDMI, so I have to use an HDMI to USB converter to get an input to the video capturing software. So far this has been the one unit which has worked steadily and consistently for me.

I was on a lookout to make my US bought TV work in India with Airtel. The Orei XD 990 really worked wonder right out of the box. I am able to now watch full HD (1080p) using this converter to convert PAL to NTSC which US TVs generally are made for. I will recommend anyone looking for a similar solution.

I had bought one in 2011 and it lasted over 10 years. Now the sound was failing. So bought a new one. It's working great with my TV from US. Very sleek product. Set it once and don't have to touch it again.

I bought this to connect my Dell 2407WFP 24" flat screen monitor to a Sky+ HD box. As there is only one HDMI output on a Sky box I used a Cablesson® 2 Way HDMI SPLITTER BOX to split the HDMI output and the Orei XD to convert the 50mz output to 60mz required by the monitor. I used a had to use a separate audio output from the Sky box as the connection on the monitor is DVI and therefore doesn't carry audio. The Orei XD is a clever bit of kit, the picture displayed on the Dell monitor is excellent. The item is a little pricey but it does the job.

We brought our large 3D Plasma tv back home from the US, and while we have a region free Bluray player we still needed a converter for the satellite / Freeview viewing. This small and compact unit hooked up with a HDMI cable is just the ticket - brilliant HD conversion with no loss in audio quality. Very easy to set up and integrate into the home entertainment system.

This product lets us use our USA HD tv on British freeview recorder. There is no jerking on fast moving scenes, just a great HD picture.

the product work instantly. good quality, work just fine. if you have a ntsc/hdtv, this is a good product,work well. i use sky cable, work with it just fine.

I have brought a TV over from the states (samsung LED 51inch) and does exactly what it's meant to do. Provides full HD (1080p) conversion.I am now able to watch satellite and SkyHD!Extremely good product! I just hope it lasts for a long time.
