Gross!
I have ordered prosciutto from many places over the years and know how it should be sliced and what the taste should be. This stuff from Whole Foods is disgusting! I have ordered it three times now, thinking maybe its a mistake and it will get better. Nope. They obviously do not train their people on how to cut this. It arrived all three times super gristly, sliced so thick and in a gelatinous pile that it was mostly useless and unedible. For this price it should be paper thin, each piece separated by paper, with minimal fat or gristle. What a waste of money. And San Danielle is usually the most delicious of the prosciuttos, but not when it shows up as this gross mess. My dog loved it though.

Ewww
The cut of meat was all gristly and tendon. In addition to not being cut correctly by the deli. It was a big heap of mess. Super gross! The flavor was really off. We love the black label. Our dog however was thrilled with this prosciutto.

Not sliced properly
For $27 per pound I expected thinly sliced proscioutto. What I got looked like canned cat food! Terrible.

Whoever cuts the prosciutto needs to make sure it's thinly cut
I've ordered this a few times and normally it has been good. But this time the cut was too thick and hard to eat.

Not handled properly
Prosciutto should be trimmed, cut paper thin and then the single pieces placed side by side in rows on paper. While the Prosciutto itself is fine quality, there is little care to trimming . In fact the fat (which there should be 1/4 to 1/2 inch) was untrimmed and about 2 inches along with rind. No rows, just glommed all together. Very un-proffessional un-appetizing. Hate to think this was done with out care. Perhaps there is not proper training.

Do not recommend
This arrived old crusty and gross. Even if it was fresh I don't think I would have liked it. I tried cooking it to make sure I didn't get sick from eating it, but ended up just throwing most of it in the trash.

Cut too thick
Should be paper thin. Was cut like ham and not the first time this has happened.

too thick
The slices were cut too thick, so it was pretty chewy and salty.
