Skateboard Rails Old School Plastic with Mounting Screws by Black Diamond

Quality rails, horrible choice for screws.
The rails are quality but the hardware that comes with it is trash. Will strip put your hole or pull out of the board really easily. And if you test one before you actually put it on your board you will see that there is no way to get the screw to go in further than about 1/16th-1/8th of an inch. So basically it only goes into the first ply. I switched out the hardwear to some wood screws I had lying around that were about 3/8ths of an inch long and they have worked way better. Also, you couldn’t get it tight enough and not strip the wood out to stop it from making lots of noise while doing tricks. The new screws solved that problem. Now it’s quiet and attached well.

Don't buy these.
I am a life-long skate boarder. I ride rails on on ramp board. Usually I ride Powell Rib Bones, but I wanted to try something different, so I have these a shot. I had an instant dislike to them when I took them out of the package. They felt...cheap. The real deal-sealer was when I went to screw them on to my board. The wood screws that come with it are not sufficiently long enough to really anchor the rails down. Moreover, they are so short, as soon as you get try to tighten them to what should be a reasonable tension, they just stripped-out (not enough screw to 'grab' the deck). So, I just tossed them. If you want side rails, buy Powell Rib Bones.

Great rails and hardware for new application
I'm an old boarder who uses Rails for extra purposes. 1 high quality and great service. 2 if you had rails previously use your original screws. If you didn't the included screws work perfectly. Do NOT try to use the new screws in old holes. Lol. Basic size engineering is beyond many of the reviewers. Note the also work great for their intended purpose

Best Rails on the Market
Best rails available by far. Most of the rails available are made out of a hard clunky plastic. Not the case here. These are the closest to the old school rails I was riding 30 years ago.Anyone complaining about the hardware must have never heard of pre-drilling the board. Grab a 5/64” drill bit, use tape to get them where you want, pre-drill through the holes (but don’t go through the board), use included hardware the attach the rails. Easy as that.I ride Powell Flight decks which are thinner than regular 7 ply boards and have never had a problem. Don’t over tighten them either. Nothing good ever came from torquing screws as hard as you can.

Hardware Wasn’t good
Rails are rails but the hardware sent with it was terrible.Countersink screws instead panheads shown.I knew it was sketchy but installed them anyway.Fell off within ten minutes.Ending up putting wood glue into the screw holes and construction adhesiving it to my board. My son and I have 3 boards with the Bones rails on them and they’re solid.Get the Bones rails. (I just liked the color of these Diamond rails so I tried them.)

Don’t bother.
Don’t bother with these. Get rib bones rails. These screws suck.

These are trash… literally
Put em on, they felt cheap and they are. Did one Ollie on a new deck and one popped off immediately. I’ve been skating with rails for the past five years and these are by far the worst rails I’ve had. Screws aren’t long enough and the rails are squishy and cheap. Buy Ribs. Save your money because I threw these away immediately

WILL BREAK YOUR SKATE DECK! DO NOT BUY I’ve bought are.
Just horrible, tried a drill, tried by hand. Tried multiple screw, they won’t bite the wood. Ultimately leaving me with around 10 just gouges a few layers deep up and down my deck. Honestly really upsetting. I feel like my deck is ruined.
