Great game for 2 people also. different every time.
I thought the directions were going to be a little difficult but they are VERY simple. Deciding on your strategy will take a little more thought and may change with each games. this is one of the best games I've ever played and the fact you can play with 2 people, during this pandemic has been a sanity saver. The only thing they could have done better is make the cards more playing card size. trying to shuffle a large quantity of cards that are half the size of playing cards is a little challenging. Sounds like they corrected this in the Ticket to Ride - Euorpe version.

Expensive, but Fun
I wish I could play it as well as my 10 year old grandson does! It is a very good game for both older children and adults

Don't buy US version
Don't buy the US version. Buy the Europe version because it's more complicated and more fun. If buying for children 12 and under, the US version would be okay.

Simple to Learn, A Challenge to Master
Ticket to Ride has become one of my family's favorite games. The concept is very simple: gather enough cards of a certain color to build a train route between different US cities. The farther apart the cities, the more points you will earn. It's a simple concept, which makes the game fun and easy to learn from the first time you play. But it has enough strategy and randomness to keep you coming back for more. With expansion sets, the possibilities open up even more.

Difficult game to learn even for adults
Even their Starter Game is difficult to learn. We haven't gone on to the Regular Game because of complexity.Wanted game for staying home during Covid-19 isolation and for long cruise trips in the future. This just isn't the game for us.

Doesn't take too long to play a single game and not too stressful
I really like this game because you keep your routes secret from other players in order to collect train cards to complete your route but it's not a terribly stressful game. If an opponent takes your planned route there are so many other ways to get there it is not too awful and doesn't cause you too much of a disadvantage. This game is good for multi generation game time. We're in our 60's and our kids are early 20's and we like this game a lot. You can still play it pretty well while drinking and eating snacks. And it's not boring.

We love this game
We have been playing the European version for a while and decided to purchase the original. We love it, even for just 2 people.

So Much Fun!!
This game was a gift for my husband. We played it on Christmas afternoon and loved it. The playing time was about 40 minutes. We had 3 players, me, my husband and our college aged daughter. I had a tough task that took my route from the West Coast to the East Coast. Even with that, it was fun to play and make the routes.I would recommend this game for teens and adults.
