SEED STARTER SEEDLING USE REVIEW
1) I used the 5 x 22 inch tray kits with the cells and dome as part of the whole kit, Amazon did not have the right cell tray so got it from Lowes online, I do not like the flimsy plastic domes that always warp and dont fit. This is not an Amazon issue , nowdays you have to hunt around to not get flimsy warped domes for any size.2) I did not use Jiffy pellets because I felt the seeds were kind of small and need a lighter material that was not as dense at Jiffy pellets, I used Jiffy seed starter mix in the cells, misted moist not soaked.3) I attached 2 of the 4 strips to the top of the plastic dome and then the other 2 to a second dome, regular Scotch type tape works fine and you only need to tape the leds down in about 4-5 places. So far the mild heat from the leds strips has not affected the plastic domes, so again credit to the Dome kit maker.4) Here is the most important part the light spacing for the 2 strips is perfect for the top of the plastic dome , the spacing between strips is perfect, the distance to the cells is perfect and the weight does not affect the plastic dome at all.5) Here is the even better part, the light intenstiy controllers are perfect it is about 10 levels, and so you can adjust starting very low and then increase as the plants grow rather than move the lights higher. So lower light for a longer period of time until the new leaves can handle the next light levels.Ok so why do it this way, the reason is because from the cell surface to the dome surface is about 3.5 -4 inches, if you think about the ratios of the cell size ( soilwise) to the plant size to the dome top, ,( assuming you put a pencil under one dome edge for ventilation once the seed germinate ) the whole plant stem leaf lead to root bottom ratio is about 5 inches, there is no reason to go higher with the light if you have been gradually increasing the intensity and reducing the exposure because at this overall size, the plant is ready to go into the ground ( obviously pending your weather timing is well thought out. Growing under a light for a longer wont be required for a plant destined to go out doors.Ok so why 2 trays rather than just one big 11x 20 or 1040 style tray, because you can stagger the cells, for succession planting, the narrower trays are easier to manipulate and locate in smaller places if required , the plastic lids do not have as much thin center space to warp, and the ratio of the led light to the whole cell tray is perfect and since the lights can be independently controlled to just 2, you can have different plants at different at different times, in other words all four strips dont need to be used all of the time as always on.I was not paid to write this, nor did I get a free product, nor do I work for Amazon or the product manufacturers.I think it is an obligation as a human with the climate as it is, that we all try to grow as many plants and as much food as we can , we are all in this together and every effort helps ,in the same way that saved pennies turn into dollars. Also so far as seedling legginess has not been as issue , they appear to be adequate so far, I am still experimenting with light intensity to time ratios. So far good to go on carrots, corn, broccoli, purple brussel sprouts, kale, swiss chard, spinach, purple tomatoes.I probably have saved a lot on electricity even leaving the lights on longer with the leds. The color spread seems to be ok as well......room temp no germination heat mats, also to be totally unbiased in the experiment, no exposure whatsoever to sunny southern windows, just the leds., no other light source.Having said all of this....pizza still sounds good!!!!

Stopped working
This was absolutely wonderful - just what I needed. However, after almost a year, the timer button has broken (it will not do anything when pushed) and the lights no longer go on a schedule. This was one of the main reasons I bought this. Now I look at the listing to see a picture of a dog instead of grow lights - obviously I can't trust the seller to stand behind their product.

disappointed over length of lights
I just received my grow lights.. I was so disappointed over the length of the grow lights. I measured them to be only 19 1/2 inches long. I viewed the images provided by the company and they looked to be longer than the 19.5" I ordered the grow lights because of the 5 star rating. I wasn't sure on the length and I never saw information on the length but I ordered them anyway because of the images. I feel as if I were deceived. Now I am hoping the grow lights work like they are suppose to. I have posted an image so you can see the brightness and how I set the lights up over a 6ft table. I won't be buying from this company again

Good but wish you could use blue or red lights alone. Can only use both at once
These are good. Easy to set up and use. My seedlings had germinated by the time I ordered the lights. I had kept them by a large window but they still weren’t getting enough light. Once I installed these light within a week you could see more growth in my plants but after a few weeks of use the growth sort of plateaued and the leaves started to look a bit dry and spotty even with regular watering. I know that blue light is best for photosynthesis where red is good for germination. These lights do not allow you to just use blue or red alone. Some of the strip lights available on Amazon do. I wish these did because I would love to see if there would be a difference if I were able to just use blue light on my plants. Otherwise they’re great and I recommend

All my plants died
I replaced an old fluorescent grow light with this LED Grow light and the plants did not get the light they needed and died. It works best (I'm guessing) if you have some sunlight also, but my plants did not. You can't put the lights on a timer and must use the built-in timer. So if the power goes out, you have to reset it again. Easy stick-up and install.. again best as adding extra light if the plants have some sunlight.

Bright and easy to setup
The light is bright and is of decent quality. It was easy to setup and it would be an addition to my existing setup. I hope we would be able to grow more plants with this light.

Don't waste your money
I followed the instructions and was extremely excited to try them out with my tomato and pepper seedlings. with about a month's use, I noticed that my plants became very leggy. Examplifying the effects due to low lighting. maybe these would work for shadier plants, but does not work for vegetable seedlings.

Very practical led plant light!
Before buying this led plant light,my house was not directly exposed to the sun. I planted seeds six days ago. The light was very bright. After a period of lighting structure integration, we have seen good results. So far, I like it!
