Works great for what I use it for. Plenty of power, small footprint.

I am very, very happy with this purchase and use it every day in my polymer clay work and jewelry making. It takes a while to figure out what rpm is needed for what project, but I am awed at how lovely my clay pieces are once polished. I'm also using it to polish stones, metal and amber. The result is that my work looks much more professional. AND I AM HAPPY FUN IN THE PROCESS! What I have learned is that it is imperative to attached the lathe to my work table as it has a serious goal to commit suicide by jumping off the table if not secured. I highly recommend buying the lathe hood with a ventilated filter and a flexible light. Using the lathe without the hood is a messy job and I am sure that many polymer clay particles are flying in every direction. Same with the buffer wheels. My first tries resulted in huge amounts of clay dust and fiber from the buffer pads scattered on the table, the floor and me. Now I use my expensive hood and goggles. I did find several vendors on eBay who had these tools at a good price, but I never thought to look there when I bought the lathe on amazon and the hood from another vendor.

Very quiet. I use it to polish leather cutting knives. No regrets. I would buy again. Fordham makes great stuff

Good buffer, wheels are difficult to unthread though.

Solid unit. Nice accessory bundle. Perfect for small items such as jewelry. Spend some time prepping the pads, this makes all the difference. No pad is ready to use out of the box. Get some dust collection for this unit. There are lots of options.

Perfect unit. Makes the work much easier to clean up and polish. Works as expected. Fast delivery and well packaged.

I use this to polish/buff my cured polymer clay projects. It is easy to use, and it suits my needs.
