Everything you need to make a great fondue and perfect crepes. Very easy to work out and use, a good size but easy to store away when not in use. Easy enough to clean and maintain. My wife loves this and has already made some amazing tasting fondue with it. Top quality and well made product!

A versatile stainless steel, German made fondue and crepe maker. It's not as robust or durable as I expected going by the marketing information.We place this on the breakfast bar for making hot crepes, made as we eat - we've had fun with it as a family activity as we cook our crepes and roll in some fresh berries into the centre when they're almost done. Just to soften the fruit a little.We've spooned some pancake batter onto the flat plate too for miniature pancakes. Perfect dusted with some icing sugar and cinnamon.Easy to wash steel that has held up to being bashed about whilst the kids get hands-on during the weekends. The hot plate needs a little more care when washing, as the non stick doesn't look as durable as some of my other kitchen equipment.That said, it's very versatile on the breakfast bar to warm an array of things from cured meats to chappatis. We've even heated tortillas and cut homemade nachos from them on the hot plate - ready to dip in the warm cheesey fondue pan.The kids have warmed some chocolate in the pan too, which they devoured with a mixture of marshmallows, strawberries and medjool dates with the aid of the accompanying utensils.A pretty good versatile and complete unit. 4 stars...just for the 'fun' aspect, otherwise it would be a 3 for lack of robustness. ...now, If only it moonlighted as a waffle maker..

We got to use this over Christmas and on unpacking the first observation was how small it was with a 19cm diameter so the crepes are pretty small.It all seems to work okay but I don't think it will be getting a lot of use.

I have used this for making cheese fondue using Gruyere and Emmenthaler. It can easily be used to melt chocolate and use berries for dipping. The temperature control is straight forward and unless you turn it to the max, nothing starts to burn or stick to the bottom. You still need to stir the contents to ensure that the consistency is even.I have not bothered to use this for crepes, as it is much easier to clean a pan than this. I have deducted a star for this lack of versatility and the high price.
