Very nice socks
I wear a size 7 to 7 1/2 shoe but ordered the Large in these socks only because they have to go up to my knees and I did not want them to be tight around my legs. The size large was perfect but not loose as I had expected. If you have skinny legs you could go with chart size if not you might consider sizing up. I had also ordered the Solmate sock crew size in medium (as they did not have to go up to the knee) and they fit very well (not too big and not too small). I think I could have ordered the knee high in XL and been OK. The crew socks were larger than the knee highs in the foot area as well as around the ankles. I was very impressed with these socks and have already ordered a second pair of the crew socks as I really only need one knee high pair. They would make perfect Christmas gifts.

For me: Boot socks
I knew I would love them. I have a scarf and a hat from the same company and I they keep me really warm. These socks are my dedicated boot socks. My feet are small and it seems my boots never fit me snugly. These did the trick and boy did they keep me warm. I have washed them and they seemed to wash well but didn't dry them all the way but laid them out to dry completely. They fit nicely around my calves too. Love the wild colors. They are ME.

I love Solmate socks. But not the knee highs
I have purchased probably close to 20 pairs of Solmate socks over the years. I live in them.But the knee highs are very restrictive and uncomfortable. The calf opening on the socks is way to small, and I have small calves. I had to return them.If you have small calves you might like these.

They feel very cozy and warm!
I was able to pull them up on my legs without any problems. I ordered a size M. I wear a size 10 in shoes and between 14/16 in pants. My weight is 200 lbs at 5'9. From the other reviews I thought I was going to have a problem putting them on. They are fitting a little snug but with my first pair they stretch over time during wear.

Not just small- WAY too small!
I love the feel of these socks and I'm sure they are comfortable. However, they aren't just small, they are waaaayyy too small. I even ordered up a size based on some of the other reviews. The socks don't go up further than my ankles- there is absolutely zero stretch or give in them. Unfortunately it's probably not worth trying to send them back so they'll gather dust in my drawer until I send them to Goodwill. Very disappointed- I desperately wanted to love these socks!

Very good quality but run small
Very good quality but run small. Did not fit my 16.5 calf. I wish they would fit as they were an interesting design and well made

I LOVE THESE SOCKS
Solmate socks are the best! They are snug, retain color when washed, and after wearing them often for 5 months they are still in great shape. I get compliments on these all the time. I even went back and bought more colors. They also make great gifts. I LOVE these socks!

I really enjoy these socks
I really enjoy these socks. One issue: they are tight around the calf muscles, but then after a while, they slide down. So, they are both too tight and too loose at the top. This is generally observed in other reviews, too. I still like the style of the socks, and I appreciate that they are 70+% natural fibers (cotton). I try to only buy natural fibers, so if I have to suffer a bit of slouchiness, I can take it.
