Chocolate Ice Cubes

These were my FAVE chocolate at the corner neighborhood grocer with the huge penny candy counter at the checkout area. The rows went in cents increments from 1, 2, 3, 2 for a nickel & so on. These delightful melt in your mouth with a cool sensation were on the higher end in the early 60s. I was thrilled to see they are still in production & every bit as tasty as I rememeber.

Man.....just like I remember. This is some of the best chocolate I have ever eaten in my life. Thank you so much for NOT changing the way you make Ice Cubes, to change it would be a crime. I LOVE THIS CHOCOLATE!!!

I was so looking forward to this shipment, however, it came and was a melted mess. No return because it’s a food item, so, I guess I saved $30 worth of calories.

These are the original candies that I remember from my childhood. They were always my favorite chocolate, nice cool chocolate that melts in your mouth! As I grew they became harder and harder to find until now impossible. I was thrilled to find a place to order these. Although the sellers put in a cooling packet, I found that ordering during the hot months will get you some slightly melted chocolates. I kept these in my refrigerator and set them out for company. My guest loved them! (of course, who wouldn't?)If you have never tried these, I highly recommd them!

These candies came up in a conversation the other day. My sister and I used to love buying these at the corner store growing up in Chicago. The flavor was so unique, like cool, chocolate fudge. So when I saw them for sale on Amazon, I had to order them. Fond memories.The order/shipment was delayed. It spent a lot of time in transit, in Texas! We are not that hot right now, but hot enough that the candy was a melty mess when it arrived. I had to put it in the fridge immediately. Melted then re-cooled chocolate not the best scenario for taste. So, my attempt at a trip down memory lane, melted away. I may try again in the winter.

My order of chocolates I fondly remember from my childhood arrived today. It was in perfect condition. The candies were in perfect condition. I gave them 4 stars for taste because I have controlled myself and not opened the package yet. Even if they don't taste as I remember them, they are still chocolate. I had ordered some from another company. Those were shipped in a bag. Most had melted and very few were consumable. I highly recommend buying these instead. They ship in the box as it appears in the product image. That, in my opinion, is by far the better way to ship a product that is prone to melting.

I remember getting these ice cubes when I was much younger and hadn't seen them for a while at local stores. They are just as wonderful as I recall. I love how the chocolate seems to "melt" in your mouth. My only problem is now I have to find another stocking stuffer for my husband - I'm keeping this candy for myself.

Even in the dead of winter 30° weather and below they still came with some of them melted. I guess they got melted in the warehouse?.
