Good product
First and foremost, the quality of the grass is commendable. It looks and feels realistic, which helps in creating a natural and comfortable environment for my dog. The grass is soft and has good drainage capabilities, ensuring that any liquid waste is quickly absorbed and does not leave any lingering odors. The antimicrobial properties of the grass also help to prevent the growth of bacteria, making it hygienic and safe for my pet.Installing the replacement grass was a breeze. It fits perfectly into the Large Pet Loo system, and the size is just right for larger dogs. The grass mat stays securely in place and does not shift or move around during use, providing a stable surface for my dog to do his business. Cleaning the grass is relatively easy as well. I simply rinse it with water, and any waste easily passes through the drainage holes.

Help with potty training.
I’ve been using Skip to my loo with my pet loo for my new puppy. She went when I set her on it (sometimes). Someone told me to pick a few pieces of grass other dogs peed on so she would get that scent. Honestly, it has worked like a charm. I’m still using the skip to my loo, but potty time has been so much calmer.

This Grass Is Much Better Than The Thick Versions Meant For Yards
This grass is much more sparse and thin than that sold in the hardware stores for outdoor lawns. This is not a complaint! Let me explain why ... I have purchased 2 types of grass at the store for my dog's Pet Loo. The grass is thick and luxurious and ....... it holds onto the pee! That means that every few days, the room begins to stink and I have to wash and swap out the grass (because it also holds onto the water too, so it takes a long time to drain). I've had a constant cycle going for almost a year... freshly washed goes outside to dry in the sun, then in comes the dry one onto the Loo. Rinse and repeat. Why oh why did I not buy this PetSafe brand sooner (I had the original Loo but no grass to go with it)? Now I can go 5-6 days without washing this new grass AND I can wash it, give it a shake, and put it right back onto the Loo. I bought just one to see how it would work, figuring I'd buy a second if needed, but it's really not.Just a quick hint for those looking for an easy way to keep the urine catch tray clean. I place an overnight urinary incontinence pad (the pantyliner type made for people) in the tray. Don't pull the backing off that covers the sticky strip on the pad. Just put the whole thing in there as is. They fit perfectly and keep the whole tray clean.

Use one while the other is being cleaned and aired-out.
The original grass is still in use with our “Pet Loo.” We are so pleased with this system. Our dog (Shipoo) seems well trained to it now. The grass drains well and holds up to use. One problem I have with the original grass, and the replacement too, is it’s just a little small. The retaining clips (we got two of them) don’t reach far enough to grip the grass and hold it in place. The grass doesn’t quite come to the edges and “snug-up.” The reason for buying the new grass was to keep one in use while the other is being cleaned and aired out. I use cat-litter and a kitty-litter-scoop with the “Pee Pod liner.” If the clumps are cleaned out every-day or two, it should last a good long time. (Advise you don’t let the litter get low or the dampness will go to the bottom and make a mess.)

8 year old dog loves it
I have been unable to train my dog not to pee in the house for eight long, long years. After replacing carpet twice I was at my wits end. I heard of the Pet Loo but thought there was no way I could get the dog to use it. But out of desperation, I ordered the system and put it in my guest bathroom which is rarely used. The dog took to it within a month! She's been using it for six months now and only has one or two accidents a month (which is less accidents and more my not paying enough attention to her). The bad news is that it does smell, pretty bad in the bathroom. I've taken to closing the door (dog pushes it open when she needs to go) and running the fan. I wash the whole unit down once a week, and keep a little bleach in the urine collector tray at all times and that helps but isn't perfect. There are some odor eliminating products for the Pet Loo on Amazon, and I'd suggest getting them to see if they work. I would NOT recommend putting this in a place where you don't have easy access to clean the unit or empty the urine collector, as it's difficult to lug around the house, and you don't want to spill concentrated urine as it takes weeks to stop smelling if it say lands on carpet. All in all, I'm thrilled by this product, and after 8 years of frustration with my dog we now no longer fight about her bathroom habits and that makes us both happy enough to forget about the inconvenient smell coming from the guest bathroom. I highly recommend it. BTW, to wash the grass, I throw it all into the bathtub, turn on the shower, and let it run for 20 minutes, does the trick every time.

Downgrade from previous grass mat.
I had bought this before (the entire potty station) and the grass was more realistic. I bought this replacement grass and it’s nothing like the original even though the same company makes it. It’s absurdly fake looking but the real problem is how the “grass” just comes apart. Very disappointed!

Lasts awhile
These grass replacements are a little more expensive than I think they should be. I feel this for the price only. They are very durable, last a solid month and definitely serve a purpose for the balcony at our condo. My pet Shiba has learned to always use this. We have learned to always have an extra one on hand because sometimes she tries to dig and the "grass" gets destroyed pretty quickly after that.

Use to like it
I use to think this was a great potty situation to have especially for apartments, I have 2 tiny Pomeranians and I actually use to recommend this to friends. However, the grass does not last long term, people in apartments are mostly using this, how am I suppose to hose it down to clean it? I figured out a grass cleaning situation but it’s a LOT of work and takes forever, so unfortunately I have to just buy new grass pads. However they’ve since OVER doubled the price of the large one which is ridiculous it’s fake grass for Christ sake. I just ordered my last one to have while I transition my dogs to using a pee pad outside, less expensive, less messy, and less stinky. Not worth the price anymore.

Great replacement
I’ve had pet loo for many years. The functionalabily is great. However, the cost is far too much. No complaints but there’s no other options that I am aware of that are less expensive. Cleaning is difficult as I have a balcony and hauling a pee soaked syn grass, or hosing is really not an option.

overly priced but honestly worth it
i think that it's worth the buy over the expense/mess of peepee pads. (Please make sure to buy the plastic part-too. this is only the grass and the pee will leak through. ) But honestly it's really expensive given the materials used. Still, it's way cheaper and more convenient and environmentally friendly than peepee pads. You'll want to buy a new grass every 6 months- to a year depending on how used it gets. And i recommend rinsing it once a day to every other day and cleaning it once a week. Again, depending on how used it gets. Peepee pads are a little easier in that sense where it's a quick throw out unless your dog is like mine and pees off the pad each time. It's easy to climb onto, and convenient for handling. I recommend buying the weecare and wee sponge with it. I've had mine for three years now and wouldn't go back to peepeepads, honestly. My dog doesn't get the smell of peepee on her paws, either because she isn't stepping on her pee.
