Rixxer 1/2 Inch Thick High Density Eco-Friendly Foam Comfort Yoga/Exercise Mat with Carrying Strap - 72" x 24"

First of all, this is a nice, thick,, long mat. I can't feel the hard floor underneath me at all when sitting on my tailbone or on my spine when curling into a ball, for example. However, my biggest complaints are, one, when I do a pose such as downward dog, the mat stretches and moves, causing imbalance and disrupting my yoga flow. Also, two, the mat easily slides on my wood floor. Would be great if this mat had more traction on the side to prevent this problem. Both of these are not good things to happen when doing yoga. However, just read another person's review who mentioned that she puts her old thin mat underneath and it prevents the problem. Will try this next time I do my yoga routine.

I bought this mat for my Pi-Yo and Yoga classes that I am taking. The mat is serving my needs.I am not happy with the strapping though... It is hard to put back on once removed as the mat has toBe rolled tightly to get it on. So I don't bother with the strap and have to carry it. I think an attachable shoulder strap and 2 longer straps that velco together to keep it rolled up would work better and free my arms.

It's a great mat. I lost my last one in a move and I'm almost glad that I did because I like this one better. My floor is hard, thin laminate on top of concrete and this mat cushions me nicely while I look ridiculous doing prenatal yoga. I think with a softer floor this would actually be too soft, but it's perfect for hard floors It does slip a tiny bit but I have a thin rug that I put underneath and it works fine. I don't think it would slip on most floors so it's still a 5 star mat to me. Oh, and it had a very slight odor if you sniffed closely, but it wasn't toxic smelling.

This is fine. It's thick and padded, but I didn't like how it rolled on each end and wouldn't lay flat and it was also a pain to roll up and put away again. The straps come completely off and are easy to lose a well. I prefer a thinner mat that lays flat and doesn't require a strap to keep rolled up.

This is not your typical yoga mat bug is cushiony. I really enjoy that it is thicker and feel it is easier on my joints in yoga. The only complaint is that when I am doing poses that stretches the mat it makes squeaking noises. The other yoga mats grip differently on the floor and don't do that. I just place my old thin yoga mat underneath and problem solved.

nice and cushy. good for some activities but really thick so a bit tough to balance on for some yoga moves. I really like this mat for any exercise that puts pressure on the knees or back. This is as the title says a "fitness mat", it is not really a yoga mat,

I liked how this had less chemicals than other mats and it is soft and thick, but mine got ripped somehow. I'm not sure if my dog walked on it but I was surprised at how quickly it got damaged.

Nice mat if you like very thick mats ! But I needed something thinner and this wasn't working for me. It was also very large to carry and I'm 5"0. So I had to return it.
