Quaker Medium Pearled Barley 16 Oz (Pack of 3)

The first thing I made was some rich and hearty beef and barley stew, right after I got the delivery. It was some of the best stew I've ever had. This barley takes a bit longer to cook, so it's perfect for putting in a slow simmering stew or soup, where you want the beef to be extra tender. I generally make a turkey stew once or twice a year at Thanksgiving and/or Christmas, so I know what one of the key ingredients will be besides the turkey and vegetables -- barley!

excellent for soups

I have used Quaker Pearled Barley all my life. Now it is nearly impossible to find. Quick cooking Quaker's barley is available widely, but it is just not the same. This pearled barley has a bite and texture that is satisfying. It is an excellent soup ingredient. I am grateful to be able to get some as is some other family member that received some from me for a gift.

I use this on regular basis for my cooking needs. Quality is fantastic.

3 boxes came cellophaned together. Expiration date is December 2020...so a little old but still in date. Met me needs.

I love Quaker barley, it's quick and sooooo good! I put it in my soups and salads and it adds a wonderful quality to whatever you make. I can no longer get them in my stores in my little town, so I send for the three pack, great to have as a back-up when ever I need it. Just love this product.

This is the best barley for soup. Tried other brand but not the same. Will proportion amounts needed , vacuum seal and freeze until needed.

Made beef and barley for the first time in forever! Was damn near impossible to find this stuff!
