Repop of the 90s Kit.
Essentially a repop of the 90s kit but it still stands up well in the modern era. Raised panel lines sadly but this can be fixed. A rather simple kit in terms of parts count and building, but it does look THE part when built.

A fun build of an iconic but often under appreciated trek design.
I made the AMT Etrl release of this many years ago and Polarlights revamp is much better thanks to a metal rod and beefier stand (the old one used to bend) and excellent decals. No more painting all those widows. The moulding had no flash at all! There are some fit issues (I used A LOT of gap filler) that is a legacy of the older design of the kit, so buy some filler to go with, it but the sculpt is pretty good and big enough 3d print or scratch build things you notice. It builds up much bigger than you might expect. After a lot of research, the missing details are not usually visible on screen anyway; most wouldn’t spot the missing hanger doors for example. The model is designed for lighting too and there is plenty of space for the electronics if you choose to do that. The painting is deceptively complex if you’re going for accuracy in your build. Lots of airbrushed panels on the studio model to replicate.
